Re: IS-IS

I must admit I'm an IS-IS fan as well, and I believe that it does a few things better than OSPF, such as the TLV concept making it much more flexible. Read http://www.nada.kth.se/kurser/kth/2D1490/06/hemuppgifter/bhatia-manral-diff-isis-ospf-01.txt.html for a good analysis of the various difference...

Re: IS-IS

I think you don't understand my question. My point isn't which protocol is better... Although, I think IS-IS is better primary because everyone who knows thematic know that IS-IS better use available bandwidth as CPU and memory. Back on topic... :) My point is why MT hasn't supported it? Is it becau...

Re: Unsupported OSPF version ?!

Hello, Thanks for replay. I have sniffed problematic network segment and determined that every second packet sent by MT or CISCO has ospf version flag to 255 ?!?! On cisco site says that it is probably some switch between them that cause the problem (bed port on some of the switches or on the router...

Level 6 from level 4

We bought RouterBoard with RouterOS level 4 from some resseler some time ago. Now, we want to install RouterOS level 6 on that board so we ask resseler for help. They told us they need current soft id and exported key, so we sent them. Afterthat, they sent us new key with same soft-id, but after pas...

I agree!

With MAC auth it is realy unpractical. Instead of askin user for his real name or last name for adding credits, we must ask him for his MAC address.

I have two active clients connected, they have www, but on the STATUS page I have active users=0, active sessions=0 ?!

Where's the problem?

I have some issues on many APs when atheros radio will stop working (no packet/s - no bandwidth). Simple disable then enable solve this problem. I thought that periodic calibration do something similar, but unfortunately I never figure what is calibration doing or does do anything at all. Off topic...

I have several Senao NMP-8602's and they work great if if 2.4Ghz range. If I put them into 5+GHz Range, the router boards just keep rebooting. Doesn't matter what the power setting id that I use. I have the same issue. It seems that tx power to 12 on some, and 10 on others, will keep them from rebo...

routeros can `drop` any kind of torrent traffic. encrypted traffic cannot be slowed down with queues, but it can be effectively dropped with firewall. Do you want to tell that my user shaped to 256 kbps can actually achieve more speed over encrypted torrent traffic  ?! And only thing that I ...

Max-Rate-Limit as Radius attribute?

We have deployed Radius+Mikrotik+pppoe and everything working fine. I can assign Rate-Limit (rx/tx) to my users over Radius attribute and thats ok. But... is it possible to assign Max-Rate-Limit ? For example, I want to limit my user with max download+upload=128 kbit/sec? If that isn't possible, is ...
