Re: CRS125-24G-1S-RM and LACP: Bottlenecks?

Ok, but where is the difference between bonding and trunk? As mentioned by above poster, Trunk in this context refers to a 'trunk port', which in switching refers to a port in which traffic with ALL vlans tagged (unless some form of ACL is set) is routed down the port (with the VLAN headers still i...

Re: CRS125-24G-1S-RM and LACP: Bottlenecks?

But with the switch trunk function, the lacp bondig will be made by hardware with wire-speed? The process of bonding the connections (and transmitting/receiving ordered packets via various interfaces) is currently processed in CPU, so CPU will always be bottleneck. Re: multihoming BGP with load balancing (agreegation)

to help you, we need to know your networks. however, in a similar scenario, i think to: - announce your /21 on 10 mbps peer - announce your /21 on 4 mbps peer prepending your AS# 1 time - set default local pref on 10 mbps peer - set a low local pref on 4 mbps peer - if supported from 4 mbps peer, se...

uumar, where are you from? do tou have a ìmage of the network? i think that if you have a star-àtype network, static routing work fine for you!

Re: mk os versions best sooted for its make

All RouterOS versions can be used for different purposes. Sometimes a feature or two don't work. So big deal - test and see if it works. See in the forums that nobody is complaining about serious problems with 3.24 and 3.25. It could easily work for your configuration, for the features that the net...

btw, v3.23 winbox , work worse on routing-test package if I try change some rules, cpu go to 50%, and need much more time, 30-40 sec with standar package go to 50%, but end job in 5-10 sec. 3 peer, 3 full table. about 900k prefix/routes Good, my RB/1000 with standard or testing package, reach 100 c...

Re: BGP full table Large CPU usage on rb1000 3.22

yes, i can found the problem only with ROS!

Only one full table,no ospf. Only a RB/1000 connected to a upstream carrier.

If i try to add or modify a routing filter.... cpu at 100% and winbox disconnection!

BGP Advertisements on 2.32 routing-test

On 3.22 you have insert on winbox the tab "advertisements" in BGP winbox menu; ok, a very big table if you redistribute full table to some customers, but very usefull; now, in 3.23 this features has vanished; is true or only a forgetfulness?

Michele

my VLANs works without problem (3.23 routing test on a RB/1000, 6 vlan over one port, 2 over other one)

Re: BGP full table Large CPU usage on rb1000 3.22

ciao :)

yes, is a good "workaround"... how many peers? full iBGP mesh?

But if in a network do you have only one peer? i don't like to change a small filters and crash the RB/1000!!

Thanks!

Re: BGP full table Large CPU usage on rb1000 3.22

ok, i will send ASAP, but i think that its a "general" problem: get a rb/1000, configure a BGP peer and import full table: during the download the cpu is ar 100%... any other strange configuration! :)

Re: BGP full table Large CPU usage on rb1000 3.22

i have a similar problem. some time, adding or removing some BGP filters (and then with route reloading), cpu hangs to 100% for some time and ospf fall downwith "discarding description packet: wrong neighbo state" or "invalid sequence number". Some other time i need to ssh in and...
