Regarding the GW been on the same subnet, I was guessing this was an issue.
Would it be a good idea to see if the ISP can change the GW to allow me to route the complete class?

What version of RouterOS are you running? Is connection tracking enabled in the firewall? Is the PPTP helper enabled under the service ports in the IP firewall?
Connection tracking is enabled, pptp is enabled but has no port assigned. and my client is connected through a hotspot wired connection.

would it matter if both telefonica connections have the same gateway and dynamacally assigned addresses?
he Network/Gateway for the telefonica connections is always 192.168.153.1 and the ip address are two external addresses.

Make a rule to mark HTTPS traffic and redirige it to unique connectivity.
