Re: Advisory: Vulnerability exploiting the Winbox port

@MT devs: I'd love to see new feature/button in Winbox (in wireless > registration table) which would mass upgrade all clients currently connected to AP to (let's say) latest version from current channel. Not likely to get added to Winbox, as it's already in Dude. But You have to add all clients on...

But this file is unnecessarily large, e.g. http://anonsvn.wireshark.org/wireshark/trunk/manuf is much smaller, and you could compress it even further. Plus it wouldn't have to be at router, WinBox could use local copy. Compressed would be around 450KB, but then this feature need to be added everywh...

That file is almost 4 Megabytes. Many RouterOS devices have 16MB total storage size.

Does the file need to be on the router?
I don't think so. Winbox could use local storage for that.

What do you guys think of adding new feature in Winbox which would check first six signs of a MAC address and display which company is bound to this MAC? I'd would see this as new column in DHCP Server for example. This would be great timesaver! Builtin OUI search within Winbox. MAC address database...

Oh. Totally forgot about Fasttrack. I've activated it and yes the performance hit nearly 2X. Now it works like it should.

BTW – MT Wiki says:
Fasttracked packets bypass firewall, connection tracking
So now with Fasttrack conntrack works or not?

Hi, I just bought RB hEX to use it as a router at my home for FTTH ONT which works in bridge mode. hEX acts as home router and it's configured in this way: LAN1 -> WAN LAN2 -> master port LAN-3-5 -> slave ports There is also DHCP server and Masquerade. No filter rules in firewall, no queues. Really ...

Why R&D of MikroTik didn't put at least USB and Wi-Fi in the new product.

We know that you can do that.
Because there will be separate product with radios in it. HEX/750 is wired only product.

Re: 951G-2HnD too slow for 1Gbps connection?

The problem is that mikrotik team don't want to implement hardware NAT since a simple router like TL-WDR3600 that uses AR9344 has hardware NAT but no mikrotik product with the same cpu has this feature. And there are a lot of RB's with this cpu. Or maybe they lack the know-how. HNAT isn't located i...
