Re: Strange PPPOE limitation problem

This is getting strange... I have 2 servers with userman. I one replay, the users get 10Mbps, if the other reply they get 200Mbps. I have tried upgradeing the one that reply with 10Mbps. Even tried rebuilding database. But the strangest thing is that it doesnt fit any profile. The limit fits, but pr...

Re: Strange PPPOE limitation problem

Just now there was an short power outtage, and 240 clients reconnected. 103 of them got wrong limitation on their queue.

The customer is ofcourse happy when the get faster speed, but the ones that gets lower is not so happy.
If i disconnect them again, most of them gets the correct queue value.

Strange PPPOE limitation problem

I have a strange problem sometimes with PPPOE limitations. Sometimes it seems like it selects limitation by chance. It may happen when the PPPOE-server has been restarted, but not every time. Now i had about 15 clients with 8-16Mbps limitation in Userman, but when I looked in the queue the limitatio...

hAP ac lite wireless problem

Found a problem with hAP ac lite and iphone. (Probably other devices to)
With no WPA, everyting is ok, but if you enable WPA then the wireless disappears, returns and disappears.
My solution was to disable WPS, then everything is ok again.

Is it possible to set total rate limit (rx + tx = total), dynamic rx / tx but limit the total. I know i can set rx and tx, but then a user can use ex 32Mbps + 32Mbps = 64 Mbps. Multiple PPPOE servers failover

In our network we have multiple PPPoE servers, which have fiber link into a central router. Now we have the ability to have a network with PPPoE server at each end, allowing customers to connect to the router that responds fastest. But then comes the challenge of routing. I've found this solution: http://forum.mikrotik.com/viewtopic.php?f=7&t=29844

One one of them it alreade was set to AP-Client, so i put it to Client. On the other it was none, so i put it to AP-Client.

Hope that helps..

RB 133 slow with 4x and pppoe

Most of my 133 / 133C3 / 112 is working very slow if I use them as a router with pppoe enabled.

When pppoe is disabled everyting is fine.

Is there any reson for that?

Somtimes pppoe wont connect, other times pppoe is connected, but nothing works until a reboot..

Would a "/system reset-configuration file=name.rsc" do what you want? It would reset, and then apply the config in the RSC file so that your CPE could connect to the AP for example.
Would love this, but still nothing?

Re: Zyxel SP300E Printer and Mikrotik

I think that the printer sends a command to the zyxel router, and it generates a username and password.

I tought that I could use that "signal" to automaticly create a user on RouterOS. We have used routerOS for Hotspot, but then we had to create notes with username and password manually.
