Re: CAPsMAN v2 ready for testing

I have a 951G-2HnD and a cAP2n both running 6.22. I downloaded wireless-cm2-6.22-misbe.npk and pushed it to both devices. The 951G happily installed the package. The cAP2n ignores it. What did I miss? j Did you enable CAP on a wireless interface? Yes, everything was already set up and working with ...

CRS125-24G question

I'm looking at getting a few CRS125s (rackmount) to use in a scenario with port-based VLAN setup, where each switch is partitioned into six groups of four ports. Can anyone confirm that each group will still perform at full speed? I'm looking at needing ten sets of four ports (third CRS125 would be ...

Re: Feature requests

BTW, any thoughts abt those tablets x android 2.1 or 2.2 X webfig? Or a future android winbox version?; An Android variant of Winbox would be great, but I wouldn't expect Mikrotik to dedicate the time and effort it would require, that's just not reasonable at this time. If Android tablets continue ...

Re: Feature requests

Minor addition to graphs html pages: Include any comments in the page for a particular port's traffic graphs. Interface <ether07> Statistics * Last update: Tue May 17 11:28:08 2011 Right there between those two lines would be fantastic. I don't know about others, but I use the comment field for ethe...

dhcp-server SNMP shortfall

running 5.1 on an RB1100. It has about 800 DHCP leases active, visible via console, winbox, api, etc. But when I poll via SNMP it only lists 147 of them. (.1.3.6.1.2.1.9999.1.1.6.4.1.1) Also, I noticed that unlike other (older) mikrotiks I'm polling, the result is in the form: SNMPv2-SMI::mib-2.9999...

DHCP use Wildcard MAC to select pool?

Is there any way to use a MAC wildcard to select a different IP pool? For example, we'd like to be able to put any device with a 0a:00:3e:*:*:* MAC address in a distinct IP pool. (that's the OUI for motorola canopy gear, this would let us utilize DHCP for client radios in bridge mode but have them i...

Force DHCP-server to issue new IP?

Is there any way to force DHCP-server to issue a new IP every time a client requests, instead of renewing the current one? The scenario is an ISP using routeros DHCP to issue public IPs from a pool to clients, but wanting to ensure that unless a client is explicitly set up for a static IP that they ...

Re: cheap mini-pci wifi for RB532A?

R52 cards using the AR5414 chipset are under $40 from most distributors. You didn't define cheap. Is that cheap enough. Tom Multiplied by 30-40 towers that ends up being a significant expenditure for something that will rarely be utilized, therefore harder to justify. The idea was that if we could ...

Re: cheap mini-pci wifi for RB532A?

Well, we got four cards sporting Atheros AR5211A, AR5111A, and AR2111A chips - these comprise the AR5001, correct? Board silkscreening brands them as Philips.

None of the four show up under 'Wireless' when inserted in the RB532A and I see nothing in logs...

Suggestions?

cheap mini-pci wifi for RB532A?

I've got a bunch of RouterBoard 532A units soon to be deployed in the field, and am hoping someone can suggest some very inexpensive wifi cards for them. The use will only be for technician access once every few months for administration of other equipment on location, we're not talking about runnin...
