Re: v6.45beta [testing] is released!

I can also confirm snmpv3 does not work in 6.45rc50 with Observium or snmpwalk.

Re: 6.30 RC final fixes before release

rc23 should fix scheduler, it is in the download page already
I also saw issues with scheduled scripts not running and Netwatch scripts not executing on down/up. Has anyone else had this problem? I'm using rc23

*) added basic counters for ipv4/bridge fast path, also show status weather fast path is active at all;

Hello, how do you view the basic counters for fast path? I checked in Winbox/CLI and couldn't find them. Thanks.

Feature Request - Global Script Variable SNMP oid

I think it would be very useful if ROS could have SNMP oid(s) point to global script variables so that you could schedule a script to pull any value you want. Then you could retrieve the value with SNMP get. Uses: DHCP lease count BGP prefix count BGP/VPN peer uptime route hop count Wireless client ...

Global Variable SNMP oid

Hello, I've been thinking about how to use SNMP to graph data like DHCP lease count in ROS. Then I thought it would be very useful if ROS could make an SNMP oid point to global script variable so that you could schedule a script to pull any value you want. Then you could retreve the value with SNMP....

Re: CAPsMAN vs WPA2-Enterprise

I have setup CAPsMAN with WPA2-Enterprise and EAP to authenticate with AD. It works great. The only thing with your example is I do not think there is a way to make SSID1 authenticate Group1 and SSID2, etc. Maybe if there is a way to determine which SSID the RADIUS request is trying to auth on the W...

CAPsMAN Wireless Protocol

Hi, Will the CAPsMAN ever have features like NV2 wireless protocol and WMM support? All the features in the "Advanced" tab on the wireless interfaces would also be great to have. Can these be implemented in the CAPsMAN package or is that limited? It would also be a bonus to be able to run a remote s...

For example:

We have a MS Server 2012 radius server connected to CAPsMAN using
WPA2-Enterprise so our users can authenticate with their Windows Domain user/password.

Works Great!

Re: IPv6 Backbone with IPv4 Clients

If you are using any tunnel you will need to either decrease the TCP MSS on the routers or increase the MTU on the routers to allow larger Ethernet frames through your routers on your network. What you described sounds like you are trying to browse to websites and the TCP packets are being dropped. ...

Re: IPv6 Backbone with IPv4 Clients

I believe a GRE tunnel also bridges and it can transport more than just IPv4 similar to EoIP. Also, this tunnel will not give you hops on the IPv4 network. No matter how many devices are on your IPv6 network the tunnel will only be one hop. Your description about only being able to get to some websi...

Re: IPv6 Backbone with IPv4 Clients

You have many options with Mikrotik. You could use IPv6 endpoints with EoIP, GRE or IPIPv6 tunnels to transport IPv4 to your access points over IPv6. Or you could setup MPLS over private IPv4 to transport public IPv4 to your access points. There are alot of possibilities depending on your IP skills ...
