I can't seem to get RIP to redistribute the Default route to other routers. Does anyone know how to do this. I have it setup in the main Mikrotik and that mikrotik set to redistribute static routes but it will not show up in the other mikrotik.

I already did that and the netinstall utility will not see the RB. Sorry if I mislead you on second post. That is what I get when I try to boot regularly. If I try the boot from ethernet I just see it waiting for the server but the server never sees it.

I have a RB532 that I was upgrading and it lost power during the upgrade. Now it will not boot and I can't get netinstall to even recognize that the RB is there. Does anyone have any suggestions that I can try to get the OS loaded again without losing my licence.

On ours when we received them only the four corner holes where used for mounting the Routerboard. Do these also ground the routerboard? Do you attach a wire to the routerboard and to the case or just to the case and use the mounts to ground the Routerboard?

When we are setting up a connection limit. When we say 10 connections are allowed for a netmask of 32. What address is that based on. Does it limit it to 10 connections for the source address, destination address, or both addresses combined?

I was also seeing this with one of my RB532s. To get a stable link on ours we set the other device to 10 full and the link came up stable at 10 full when it was set to auto. If I set the other device to 100 full then the link just bounces over and over again.

I have found this attribute, Ascend-Client-Gateway, but is shows it is only supported for hotspot users. Is this ever going to be supported for PPP users?

I also agree that this is needed. If they have the oids set up to get it from MRTG then the stats are there. It shouldn't be to big of a leap to add them to the interface in winbox.

The only problem is that the local pool attribute changes the client address to use the pool not the local address. I have looked and I have not been able to find any radius attribute that allows you to select which ppp profile to use. If I can find that then all my problems will be solved.

Is there a Radius Attribute that sets the local Address in the PPP Profiles. I know there is one for Remote address but I need one to set the gateway address for the Users. Also is there one for DNS server? DNS is not as big of a deal but it would be nice to have.

If I manually move the queue to somewhere near the top of the list of queues, I have found that no matter what I put into this script for the location to move it to, It will move the Dynamic queue back to the bottom of the list queues.

We found a better way to do this. We just modified the HTML Login page to redirect to the page we wanted once the user logs in. This seems to work very well and it will work for any web page.

I am trying to restore a backup of a mikrotik. I FTP the file off the original one and then onto another one. When I click Restore I get and error message. "Couldn't restore configuration - file too short (6)"

I agree that the server should serve the time in UTC but It would be nice if we could get the clock on the Mikrotik to be able to change for daylight savings. That way we don't have to go out to 40 different Mikrotiks and change the timezone from -7 to -6 and -6 to -7 every spring and fall.

I have this running just not the way we would like to run it. By switching the interface to all, all traffic is then caught by the queues. Why is it when you set the interface to the bridge interface does it only catch the traffic one way?

Feature Request:

Instead of Torch being able to work for just interfaces, it would be nice if you could use it on certain Queues also. This way you could determine what IPs are passing traffic through individual queues.
