Re: Urgent security advisory

Ironic wouldn't be the word I would choose... Not having shell access in routeros has always been a serious flaw in a great product. And that this access is there without Mikrotik for the black hats now, pretty much invalidates any reason that we shouldn't. Strange files were the easiest way of dete...

Yes there is just a regular wireless package in the all packages zip file... You have to get it though the zip file... Unfortunately when you put it into the packages on the router it doesn't add it in. I was looking for help adding it in, if possible, not the obvious, "It's been replaced in th...

I could not get the regular wireless package be seen after uploading it to a router. What is the process to get it to be added to the packages? We see less disconnects with nstream with the regular wireless package than the fp or cm2 packages and need it for that reason.

Hanging on boot with 5b2 at loading iniitrd

This is the same problem with WRAP and other x86 that was there for 5b1. We have isolated it to the boot media... 01F0 Master 848A SanDisk SDCFB-64 SanDisk 64Mb boot devices will not boot. It has nothing to do with the WRAP board. Because of this we will lose about 10 licenses, if it's not corrected...

winbox itself is just a loader, all the files are inside routeros. edit: it's not `messing it up`, it's a wine bug. we just made a workaround. Is this workaround available? I'm using the 2.2.10 winbox.exe with MT 2.9.38 and it's freezing under wine 0.9.24 and 0.9.27... Would really like to be able ...

One little secret about rflinx amps ( and all without exterior boxes). Make sure the components of the amp are facing away from your AP circuit boards. Have the metal heat sink between the two devices. Muchly reduces crosstalk across components...

Ok, so now we are running the latest 19 release. Tried changing fonts etc. Running Fedora 4 on all machines, latest wine, etc... No joy on text on anything with the client running under wine. With dudes.exe under wine and the client under windowsXP all is ok. Anyone with any ideas?

thanks!

BUT when looking at the maps from Dude run under wine on a Fedora 4 installation the boxes are all small and have no text in them. This is using remote to attach to the server, local attach fails. IF I look at the server fr...

SRx's and compression

If you enable compression the MT as a client will no longer talk to the MT AP. Association but no data across the link...

Somebody needs to kill this bug at MT...

SRx's and compression

What are the chances that the next release of MT will correctly support Compression on the SR/atheros radios? :?:
