in booth configurations you dont need to configure proxy seetings in your Lan pc's.

use scan to check that,
in some cases even if chanels is not owerlaping in some frequencies wirelless link do not work normaly,(interference from other sources ?!),
try to change chanel.

after adding firewall NAT rule and other seetings you have to add proxy server address and port in parent proxy field (10.0.1.6: port:3127) , in ip > Web proxy seetings.
