I have ether1, ether2, and ether3. they all sit on the same network, lets say 10.0.0.1, 10.0.0.2, and 10.0.0.3, respectively. Hmm I tried that, but it didnt mark the traffic flow in both directions.... I initally tried controlling the flow with one mangle and one tree rule, but it was only effective on traffic in one direction. I ended up using the following settings for the tree queues: add dst-address=202.124.100.2/32 ac...

I hate to say it, But I need some help with Queues ;)

Okay, I have had my queues working ok, using the Tree's but I would like to move to Simple queues as they allow me to set an overall max speed (rx and tx) for each queue. My setup before was: OutBound Internet Traffic - CIR 1024, MIR 2048 -- Customer Queue limited to say CIR 131 MIR 256 Inbound Inte...

Although I don't do this with Mikrotik, I have had the same problem with numerous NAT products and the only way round it I've found is to setup a Proxy/Socks server with a Public IP and setup Messenger to run though it. If I get chance this weekend I'll give it a go through the Mikrotik box I have a...

Why not just use a firewall rule to forward all traffic with dst port 80 directly to the squid proxy?

hmm well maybe you could set the secondary high queues to 7, that may help.... the other option is that it could be something to do with the firewall mangle rules.. I had issues with trying to get a set of IP's running at 5mbps when accessed locally and 1mbps when remote.... fidled with accept/passt...

On the subject of SNMP does anyone have a working MRTG config file I could steal for the Mikrotik that shows CPU, RAM and Disk usage? as I'm having serious trouble setting it up..

I've built a messy solution for it and it works like so: 1. Log Downloaded, downloads the traffic logs every 10 minutes 2. VB script imports the text file into an access DB, then deletes the file 3. ASP Page can then query the data.... Problem is that the processing time for the VB script is getting...

Traffic Monitoring

Hi all, I've got a nice little Mikrotik box sat between my customers and my main internet circuit and I'd like to keep a web based log of the amount of data they are transferring per month. I have got Traffic Accounting working and the log downloads onto my server no problem, but ideally I'd like th...
