Re: RouterBOARD setup connect two networks over bridge

Well, setting up some static routes would be the easiest. You only need a few since you only have a few networks to deal with. Here is the page for the adding simple routes: http://wiki.mikrotik.com/wiki/Simple_Static_Routes_Example or you can get fancy and impliment a routing protocol like OSPF to ...

Re: RouterBOARD setup connect two networks over bridge

This is probably the easiest way to go about it. You will need to apply it to your setup of course.

Re: ETA on Beta3?

Any chance of being able to run vlan and untagged traffic on the same interface in the new release? Also hoping for the OSPF issues to be resolved.

Re: plz plz help we are done

Have you tried the adaptive noise immunity? Also I would suggest just using the default setting for the rate selection.

Routing Loop on random mikrotik clients

OK, so we have been deploying mikrotik clients with very nice results for about a year, but since somewhere in the recent releases, we have been having issue with routing loops. The AP has client isolation enabled (forward=off), both globally and in the access control list. But some radios that have...

Re: RB433, ROS4.10, 3xR52n = endless loop

I have seen this issue as well after an upgrade. The rebooting is a power issue. If you turn the transmit power down on the cards a bit you may be able to get by with that until you can either get a bigger power adapter with a higher amp rating (for long PoE runs) or downgrade back to your non-probl...

Re: acess to standard wireless router

My suggestion would be ditch the masquerade and keep it simple. Create a bridge with the wireless port and the Ethernet interface that you are using and then if all goes well, you should pull an address from the other router and you are done. :D

Re: Migration from bridged network to OSPF

As a fellow WISP operator I feel your pain. We made this transition a while ago. OSPF does routing. It just tells stuff where to go. Breaking up broadcast domains is done with clever IP addressing. :D When you define the networks on an area router, make sure to define the whole network (10.x.x.0/21)...

Re: OSPF dropping routes v4.x

I have tried the 4.6 on 1 RB433ah and 2 different 532 boards. Updated bios and the whole shot. I downgraded the 532's to 3.30 and left the 433ah running 4.6. Same result. I have now downgraded the 433ah and all is well. I may add that all 3 are acting only as routers and do not have any wireless car...

Re: RB411 + minipci wifi adapter = need help to config. ipro

Put the wireless interface in station pseudobridge, bridge the ports together, and connect at will. You may want to enable DHCP on the wireless interface, so when you connect to the other APs you get an IP from there. Assign your own IP to the eth interface so you can connect to it with wimbox. then...

Re: OSPF dropping routes v4.x

I am also having this issue. I changed a 500 series router out at one of our high traffic locations with a 433ah for more power. I thought I would be smart and put 4.6 on there and it randomly drops the routing. A reboot seems to be the only fix to the problem. Seems this is a carryover from 4.5. Wo...
