Re: RB3011 no more POE on port eth10

Same issue again here.

RB3011 straight out of the box, will not power anything with POE port 10.

Tried forced on and nothing works.

Re: SNMP with Dma Radius Manager

The SNMP feature in radiusmanager hasn't worked since Ubiquiti 5.5.x firmware.

I contacted Victor to see if he could work on it but unfortunately, he said he did not have time to fix it so who knows if it'll ever work again.

Mikrotik bridge and proxy-arp

I've got a problem that I just can't figure out. It might be something that I've never done right from the beginning from lack of knowledge but I have no idea what it would be. This is what I'm experiencing. On all my Mikrotiks for years now I can setup a basic soho router system with a bridge on a ...

CCR1036-12G-4S Kernel Failure

Hey everyone, I just wanted to get any advice anyone would be willing to offer. Today my CCR1036-12G-4S with 160days uptime stopped all traffic for around 10 minutes then rebooted. Looking through my logs this is what I found: Jul  7 10:31:37 biz_fiber-lillian ntp, debug Wait for 0 seconds before res...

Re: Vlans on Mikrotik

Just incase anyone else sees this, I fixed this problem myself. It was my own error. lol. The whole configuration I setup was actually working perfectly. I have a pretty long SNMP community name and in my Cacti server on the default SNMP community name I had ONE extra character in there that I misse...

It is the core router for two other Mikrotiks: ETH-1 is my internet gateway on a public /30 ETH-2 has two vlans on it 501, 502 which connect to a trunk port on a Cisco switch and commun...

Re: Public IP addresses assigned via PPPoE, how to route the

I can't be sure how they setup your specific VDSL circuit, but it would seem to me that in the Mikrotik when you configure the PPPOE client connection be sure click add default route and use peer dns and that will setup the routing automatically in the Mikrotik when the PPPOE client logs in to them....

Re: PPC & the Dude

Even though it was not "supported" I've been running The Dude 3.6 on a RB1100AHx2 for at least a year now with hardly any problems. The only problem I found was that one time, on only one of my devices, it went down and even though the alerts worked right and it was showing that the unit was back up...

custom radius attribute and Mikrotik-Group

I know in usermanager you can specify the ppp profile for each user. Is there a way to use custom radius attributes with freeradius to achieve that same functionality with something like RadiusManager from DMS softlabs? I am looking for a way for RadiusManager to specify the pppoe profile for a user...

Hey everyone, I'm just looking for some advice on a problem I'm having that really needs to get resolved and I'm not sure where to proceed with it. New hardware for existing ROS X86 install

I looked for this information but I can't seem to find it.

I have an existing ROS X86 install that I want to replace the motherboard cpu and ram in.

Can you do this without reinstalling and paying for another ROS license?

Thanks for your time,

I've got thedude 3.6 installed on a dual xeon pc ROS router. I've got the ROS correctly configured to send email through an authenticated server which works fine. The only difference is I'm using two rb450G routers and 4 ubiquiti Rockets for the bridging links. Even with the ...

Re: Dual wan question routing only no loadbalancing

Hey FEWI. I don't know if you will see this or not but I've got the connection up now and I've tried the routes you gave me here and I can't get it to work. When I'm trying traceroutes out on the net to an IP on the X.99.81.0 subnet it gets to the 200 router then fails and I can't figure out why. If...

To fewi Again, you are right. Makes perfect sense to me now. You are a true asset to these forums. I didn't realize that IPs can be in more than one address list at the same time. I will definitely take this approach Yes! I completely forgot about passthrough=yes. That will be exactly what I need in...

Re: Dual wan question routing only no loadbalancing

To fewi: Wow! Thank you so much for your response. :D Much Karma your way. It makes complete sense to me. I think I'll have to set the mangle rule to only match the ..99.81.0/22 subnet instead of not matching all the others because the 172 subnet is already in one address list I have for the webprox...

Dual wan question routing only no loadbalancing

Please bare with me this takes a while to explain, and thank you for your valuable time looking at this. This is what I have that works right now: 1 cisco router with a T3 internet connection. We'll call it the 200 router. The 200 router has public IP's 200.200.x.0/24, x.96.56.0/24, x.97.248.0/24, a...

Re: Dual polarization antennas or two antennas in one unit

To anyone using dual polarity SECTOR antennas with an access point (not dishes for ptp)! How are you connecting it? Do you use one radio per polarization like 1 radio for horizontal and one radio for vertical or are you using one radio and splitting the signal to the dual n connectors on the sector?...
