Re: Wireless link calculator updated

Nice tool. Will be good if one can simply enter coordinates of the TX and RX location as an option to just Moving the map markers to the desired area.
Also, the ability to export the report out in jpg/pdf or any other usable format will be fantastic.

However, this is a very good tool as it is.

Re: please!!! radius server not responding

what radius server are you using? user-manager or Freeradius? if it is freeradius, have you check the Logs on the radius server and the logs on the Mikrotik RB? are requests getting to the radius from the RB? it will be nice if you share more details. Some slight misconfigurations could cause this!

Re: total left time?

This is session-time-left. i want user's account time-left

ok. not sure if this is implemented. That is like extracting the remaining validity period of the account and not uptime left

Re: Error 404: Session time out

Hi, Error 404 simply implies that the client was able to communicate with user manager server, but the server could not find what was requested because the page/session has expired. The pages of the user man are not meant to be cached. quick fix that I have used over time when this error flashes up:...

Re: total left time?

if he knows the login url, he simply needs to type it in his browser and put /status or simply the ip of the hotspot gateway /status e.g http://hostpot.guru.net/status or http://10.2.2.1/status (where 10.2.2.1 is the ip of the hotspot gateway) it will show something like this: Welcome de! IP address...

you can do with level 4 or 5 license depending on how many simultaneous sessions that you want to have. L4 supports 20 simultaneous sessions via user manager authentication and 200 if local database /ppp secret is used L5 supports 50 simultaneous sessions via user manager authentication and 500 if l...

Re: always Radius Server Not responding

been fast cannot be a problem. Check your config and monitor logs both on the router and the freeradius server! "Radius Server not responding" is an indication that the Router is not getting a response from the radius server, it could either be that the request did not get to the server at all or th...

Hi,
if limit-uptime is set for the user in "/ip hotspot users" then what you see in "/ip hotspot active" under session-time-left column is the user's total time left.

Re: Userman resources required on CCR1009 and logging doubt

Hi Ibm, The Mikrotik CCR1009 can support the 2000 users on pppoe since it comes with L6. In terms of database size, it is small in size especially if you are creating users in /ppp secret. it is stored with the routerOS config file and even if you decide to export the /ppp secret alone, the 128MB na...
