Re: How can I move Mikrotik Router OS setting from one board

more precisely, I recommend "/export compact file=name" command. "Compact" is important, as it only exports the changes that you made.
and in the other board should I do

/import file=name

or there is /import compact file=name

Is the compact file is enough. because I notice that I might not need to change anything but the file size is smaller that the one you get from "/export file=name"

You have two basic methods to implement fail-over, this should not require any modification to your current setup. 1.) Write a script that will test the lines for you via pings, or some other method. 2.) Use the scriptless method described in the Wiki and in the forum. http://wiki.mikrotik.com/wiki...

No. This is a FAQ. Search the forums, this comes up once a week - RouterBOARDs have never had CMOS batteries, so it is expected that they lose time on reboot. You need to use NTP to sync them.

Re: PCC load blance when the line is on but no internet

The basic solution is you need to implement a method for the router to test a specific route to insure that it is working properly and if it's not disable it and clear out the connection table for that route. The reason why unplugging the router works is because it then puts the Ethernet link offli...

Re: problem using a forum with pcc load balance

Yes, of course. NAT should be turned off on the Hotspot router ONLY. It's necessary on the PCC router. Again, you should use 'src-address'. Read the "How PCC works (beginner)" link again. 'src-address-and-port' includes the source port in the decision, the source port is random, so it doesn't help ...

Re: problem using a forum with pcc load blance

/ip firewall address-list
add list=exempt-from-pcc address=x.x.x.x/32
This way, your forum will make use of your default route.
You will still have problems with secure sites and some game servers unless you make use of src-address in PCC classifier.
how to do that?

Depends. Are you running IPv6 and are you expecting your router to send RAs on those interfaces? If you're not then it's obviously not a problem. If you are expecting it to then you do have a problem.

the problem that netCut still show some IPs and mac and the user can change his as those.

We need a code that prevent a mac address with different host in short time (shorter than the keep alive time)

Re: move user from hotspot to PPPoE??

you can create a script, something like below

:foreach i in=[/ip hotspot user find] do={
/ppp secret add name=[/ip hotspot user get $i name] password=[/ip hotspot user get $i password];
}
this will add the users in the defaulted ppp profile not the same profile
