RB4011iGS not in Winbox Neighbors tab

I have a new RB4011iGS. When I initially got it and connected it to my network, I could see it listed in the Winbox Neighbors tab. Since one of the updates and I am not sure which it was either 6.44.1 or 6.44 it has disappeared. I have it properly configured and working and I can get to it via the L...

Re: Unable to reach a hand full of web sites...

Thanks for the reply BR. What you say is quite possible. I have had this 3011 for at least 3 years so it is within the period of time when ROS was vulnerable.
Have a great day!

Unable to reach a hand full of web sites...

I have a 3011UiAS router that for some reason cannot reach a couple of web sites. If I remove the router from the IPS's modem and connect a laptop directly to the ISP's modem and use the static IP assigned to the router on the laptop, I can get the those web sites without issue. One would clearly te...

PowerBox help

Hello anyone... I have recently purchased a powerbox. I am supplying power to it via PoE. I have three SXT units attached to it. I cannot get the SXT units to stay powered on. In the Interface/PoE window I can see the unit power up with 1amp and 23.3 volts it then very quickly cycles to "short circu...

Re: Cant Ping Management IPS WDS

Did you ever get this resolved as I am having the identical issue! I have wds working very well but I am unable to access the slave wds unless I disable the master radio. Once I disable the master radio I can directly access the slave directly through its Ethernet port. Turning the master radio back...

Re: v5.12 RB450G routers (x3) refuse to upgrad to v5.16?

I thank all of you for taking the time to respond. To answer a couple of your question. Yes, I used System/Reboot as I am not at the remote locations of those routers I cannot physical power cycle them. Also, I could have sworn I looked at the log file and did not see any error, however after checki...

v5.12 RB450G routers (x3) refuse to upgrad to v5.16?

I have been working with RouterOS for a very long time. I have done dozens and dozens of firmware upgrades as well as license upgrades. I am not a newbe at this, however, I am an old man so my brian is slowing down :-) Yes, I am using the mipsbe firmware. Yes, all three routers are licensed properly...

IPv6 package grayed out?

I have two RB450G's v5.11 in both cases the IPv6 package is listed in the package list however it is grayed out and I cannot seem to get it enabled. Did I not read that RouterOS supported IPv6? Ah, any help would be greatly appreciated!

Re: Upgrading to RouterOS 4.0

Ok you can ignor this post.. I figured it out! It was just as simple as following the directions which are clearly posted when attempting to download the new RouterOS v 4.0. I am sorry I didn't notice the link in the warning the first time through.

Thank you.

Upgrading to RouterOS 4.0

Please clarify: The update process discribed in the PDF is cloudy at best in its discription.... 1. Update the Bootloader if using a RouterBOARD 2. If already running RouterOS v3.25 or newer, Update your RouterOS license 3. If you will use Netinstall for installation, make sure you have the latest v...
