Re: New CPU - new product RB750Gr3 - RB750G family - now mmips

In your opinion, what better to buy, RB750Gr3 or EdgeRouter X/EdgeRouter Lite? What will be more stable with IPsec?
I have no experience of EdgeRouter X. Maybe someone else can answer your question.

Hej
Dual-Core 880 MHz, MIPS1004Kc etc.. similar specification as Ubu EdgeRouter . Hmmm...Interesting.
The difference is that EdgeRouter X has 256 MB NAND. EdgeOS might need 256 MB of storage space to fit all applications. :)

Is there any reasons not to fix this issue? As you can see in the picture, TCP traffic through the Ethernet interface shows over 80 percent more than the VLAN interface. UDP shows the correct speed on both interfaces and the issue appears only in the X86 version of RouterOS.

Configure your WAN port with x.x.x.x/30 and add default gateway to your ISP's IP address.

Configure your LAN/DMZ port with x.x.x.x/29 and configure your hosts from the same subset of IP adresses.

Default gateway for your hosts will be the IP address of your router.

Re: Adsl multi link (Aggregation)

Your ISP needs to support link bundling. Otherwise, you can only do load balancing. There are various mechanisms to bundle links at Layer 2 and make them appear as a single logical link at Layer 3. 1. MLPPP 2. MLFR, Inverse Multiplexing for ATM (IMA) 3. Link Aggregation Control Protocol (LACP) They ...

My guess is that the buggy PXE client is expecting option 67 to contain a zero-terminated string. In fact the DHCP standards say that it's a counted string, and doesn't have a zero at the end. The most likely DHCP packet in this case will have the DHCP "end" option after the filename, whic...

What are the difference between RG178 and RG316, do I really need to bother when it comes to pigtails? A qualified guess would be that the more expensive RG316 cable has less cable loss.

I don't believe that the speed will be cut to half after ever hop. I'm quite sure that the speed will be the same from WDS Node 1 to WDS Node 6 (at least if you only transmit data in one direction, otherwise it wil be cut to 25%).

So if I have six 108 Mbps nodes, the speed will be like this if I transmit data from WDS Node 1 to WDS Node 6? Sorry, but I don't understand why the speed would be cut after WDS Node 3. :?

First hop = 108 Mbps
