Wanted to help you, but when I looked at the Groove 52Hpn board, SMD layout is completely different :(
This one is just 2G... So it would be different I guess.

I also think it must be a 2.8KOhm just don't know what SMD form factor

i am currently facing a situation where the device needs to be reset but the rains and winds are too strong to climb the tower and the client has his entire production machines cutoff from the server as the PTP link is down. And you can't just mac-telnet in ? No.. it does get disconnected....

I had the same problem on CAPsMAN... Left in bridge only ether1 (I had wlan1 in bridge, too) and it solved it. Maybe this could help someone.

so the cable was the culprit.

i installed 3 different Mikrotik devices at the tower end of the cable and was facing the same problem and that made me zoom in on the problem.

the cable length is 65 meters.

change the cable finally!!! :-)

You have to be really suborn pushing the reset button on the routerboard until it shows in netinstall ... can take as much as 30 seconds. so as told i went ahead and

1. re-crimped
2. swapped the switch

it seemed to work with on laptop connected to the switch.

today will plug the entire LAN load and see what happens

power issues are there on the location but the same switch works comfortably with a standby PTP link provided by a company/product called "BROVIS"

another strange thing is the Mikrotik link is not detected when used in my THINKPAD but it works when plugged into a DELL laptop.

i did create more NAT rules but still it failed.

the IP pool for road warrior's get a complete different subnet and i can't setup a subnet in the IP pool for them either.

can you direct me or guide me on what needs to be done precisely...as i have never use the Torch option before.

somehow after all these years with using Mikrotik it has become a family member.

now i can't get in a new brand just overnight. wondering what best can be done.

and yes Ubiquiti has very bad replacement issues in India. I have burnt my fingers once long time back so not again for sure.

Yes... I enabled Satellite View.

but putting in direct Lat / Lon does help in being more precise.

as i said the Openstreet maps do not have much of details for my area as Google Maps.

Google Maps is showing everything in great detail.

till date i am faced with this draconian issue of Unicast timeout disconnecting all the clients on the wireless network.... the frequency is far too much to handle. clients are just chucking out the systems...

well... i tested with directly connecting to laptop from both ends but still its not crossing 100 MB/s end to end.

i want to design a completely integrated full duplex wireless PTP system using only "Mikrotik" hardware. no OSPF or simulation type.

looking at achieving speeds (actual throughput) of around 600 to 800 Mbps.... or more.

somehow Dynadish i installed in a perfect condition is not able to get me anything above 100Mbps data transfer speeds with Nstreme.

In RouterOS console $ is a special character, either you use escape sequence or avoid using such characters in passwords and usernames.

using Putty also you end up working in the Mikrotik Shell... so i think it's routeros which should be able to understand the special character in password....

sorry for the mistake. i might have skipped what Normis wrote. Thank you Normis...

in fact SXT and Groove could have all their LED's off by default which was a very good feature.

also the tape idea is what i thought of but i think it won't last on a tower for more than a month.

all i can turn off is the signal strength LED's. what i cannot turn off is the ETH and PWR LED

DynaDish is a new model so there has to be some way. i don't want it attracting attention in the night. please advise.

Make sure both SXT are in AP-bridge / station-bridge mode, and have ether1 and wlan1 connected to a bridge. It really should be that simple. workaround- just go to DHCP settings and put a longer lease time (not the default 5 minutes)
this happens without DHCP too.... so there is no actual way out....

In mikrotik all vlans are passed by default under transparent bridge configuration.you dont need to add any extra rule for it.

"ac" simply convert 5GHz unoverlapped channel, on 5GHz full overlapped channels, like 2.4GHz.

The best is to not use 80MHz channels.
when the world is working towards a better speed with the 'ac' why are you asking to avoid it?

I have now configured several 'ac' units and none of them show the Tx Power. Obviously a bug in the software...
i will be deploying the first one this week.

how are you finding the speeds??

my deployment range is 2 Kms. what speeds should i expect?

hello, i have 2 Sextants deployed 1.5 kms apart. they are running ROS 6.27 connected with NV2 somehow i just cannot achieve file copy speeds above 5MB/s from machine to machine. the througput in ROS is seen at 120/120 and does not climb above that. even IPERF shows the Transfer speeds at 32.1MBytes ...

now i changed the "HT Guard Interval" value to "LONG" and it gave me some what better stability... but still there is a surge. check the the screenshot attached.

normis... please help!!!

i upgraded to ROS 6.27 and now i am facing real bad latency on WiFi 802.11

the ping timeout is starting from 1ms and going to 1000ms....

what can be done... this really getting bad for me.. :-(

we are talking of simple AP<-->Client connectivity. its nothing to do with databases etc. i am now on 6.15 and still the same problem. using AES as security standard. SXT is the AP and around 20 Windows desktops and laptops. even the ping gives a "Request time out" after every 10 to 15 pin...

i think this should solve the problem...

goto INTERFACE --> WIRELESS --> SECURITY PROFILE --> GROUP KEY UPDATE

change the value from 00:05:00 to 01:00:00

i think this should help in keeping the clients connected.

this is now happening with almost 10 AP's i have deployed for indoor purpose.

very annoying... clients have started doubting router's capabilities.

i finally did netinstall and reverted back to version 6.13 its become quiet stable but i found the following strange thing.

both units are just 50 meters apart and still check their signal strength.

hi,

today my RB411 rebooted and since then the WLAN interface has disappeared.

i am using a R52Hn card in the WLAN slot

any idea what could have happened? and also how can i verify if the card is responding?
