Re: Mikrotik's management profile take high CPU

OK I seem to have resolved the issue - I think the NAND was somehow corrupted, as I couldn't see any files, nor in winbox or cli. So I connected to the router using RS232 + netinstall, formatted the NAND, uploaded the latest .npk and since then everything seems to be alright.

Re: Mikrotik's management profile take high CPU

Hi, on my RB1100 I constantly have the CPU on 100% load. Profile says Management 80%, unclassified 20%. Tried turning off scheduler (1 script), turning off SNMP, turning of "Router OS" in Dude, but nothing helps, right after reboot the CPU goes back to 100%. I tried making supout.rif multi...

Using wildcard (*) in scp command

Hi all, I came across a strange behavior while working on my automated backup-download script. I use scp to download *.backup and *. rsc files from my routers. On windows with pscp the syntax file.* works fine, but on unix and linux machines I got the following error: [root@pha /]# scp -i scp_dsa sc...

Winbox vs. CLI - ethernet showing different speeds

Hi all, winbox and command line are showing different negotiated speeds on the same ethernet interaces (100mbps vs. 1gbps, RB951G-2HnD).

Whom should I trust?

Re: RB751U-2HnD - poor wireless performance & problems

In my short experience (1x RG751G-2HnD and 1x RG951G-2HnD installation) - you have to very carefully select the TX power, either by regulatory domain or manually, because the radio is very powerful!!! Especially 1000mW on the 951G-2HnD!

Re: RB751U-2HnD - poor wireless performance & problems

Hi guys, I've done some testing on my own. I got the RB751G working at it's best by either enabling regulatory domain for my country or manually decreasing the TX power to 17dbm. After that, clients were able to associate at some interesting speeds (depending on client capabilities, mostly Apple dev...

Re: Best method to load balance 2 internet line?

OK OK :)

my last question? is this setup possible to use without the ISP routing marks? i don't want to blanace the traffic load - I'd just like to have a primary GW and a backup GW and use this advanced routing for failover (with double check against 4 high availability servers).

Re: Best method to load balance 2 internet line?

Well, thanks very much for the corrections, it works now. Perhaps you should add (just for some routing beginners like me) that you need to add something like this to have it work (with the Routing marks): /ip firewall mangle add action=mark-routing chain=prerouting src-address=192.168.33.0/24 new-r...

Hi, the same problem here. RB 433 AH, upgraded from ROS 3.30 to 4.1 (bootloader from 2.20 to 2.23). After the upgrade the DHCP client hangs up on "searching" status, ports 2 and 3. Port 1 (the one with POE) works. The only solution for me was to downgrade back to 3.30, just restarting the ...
