Re: IPv6 transition mechanism

Got it, then we are talking about transitioning, not migration. Migration is only the case when you disable completely IPv4 in ALL the network. There are no "migration" mechanism, is probably impossible right now to do that, you always need some way of coexistence, that why we designed at IETF "tra...

Re: IPv6 transition mechanism

I'll try to explain it better: First to implement advanced transition mechanism like 464XLAT or MAP-E, MAP-T will take the money from people wich need urgently buy expensive IPv4 addresses right now. You need to be the first this time Mikrotik, don't let Ubiquiti take advantage as usual. I'm sure th...

Hi Nick247, I'm waiting for ROS5 to have FreePBX GUI too. You are becoming a metarouter Guru. Mikrotik may contract you as a metarouter engineer :)

I can't have working this script on boards with mipsbe processors (RB450, RB750, RB433...) but is OK on x86, powerpc and mipsle processors. Same behavior like you with the "?" sign at termin...

DynDNS script runs on x86, powerpc, mipsle but not on mipsbe

Hi, could somebody help me on this? I'm able to run successfully the below dyndns script (is a modified version from "freeloader" MKT forum user) on various platforms : - x86 - PowerPC (RB800) - Mipsle (RB131) but I'm unable to run an exact copy of this on Mipsbe boards (RB450G, RB750G, etc....) Thanks for share this script. I got sucess with it in mipsle (RB133C) and x86, but not in mipsbe (RB750). Maybe some syntax differences between the two platforms?

I'm using this script on an x86 system with success, but I'm unable to run it at Routerboards (RB450, RB750) Could somebody help me? I bet the fail is at "fetch" command syntax. Hi tricer, no success at all :( Now I can have all links working togheter without big problems with RSTP on the bridge wich is running the bonding interface (ether3,ether4,ether5) and the lan interface (ether1) I can even drop one of the bonding links without losing connection, but no aggregation, c...

Thanks again tricer, I will try it and let you know results. Only a question about it : must I use a different subnet for the nanobridge M5 itself? (i.e. 192.168.2.0/24)

Re: Help on bonding 3 wireles PtP links.

Thanks again tricer. We liked to keep all at same layer 2 cause we want run DHCP from one site, but no special reason, we can subdivide it. For the config : Links are Ubiquiti Nanobridge M5 on a PtP WDS link, bridge mode, and 192.168.1.0/24 each Routerboards are RB450G with ether3 to ether5 for the ...

Re: Help on bonding 3 wireles PtP links.

Thanks tricer, I was trying to bridge from side to side. Links are on same subnet (192.168.1.0/24) and office and remote site are same subnets too (192.168.1.0/24) Links are on WDS mode. I made a bonding interface with all three ethernets at each side, and I bridged this interface with another ether...

Help on bonding 3 wireles PtP links.

Hi. I'm trying to bonding 3 PtP links with RB450G on each side. I make a bonding interface with the 3 ethernets on each side and I bridged it with my LAN interface. When all 3 are working, I'm experiencing problems (maybe a broadcast storm) wich make the link unusable. The schema is as follows. Coul...

Re: RB800 + Big Outdoor Case(CA/OTU) + 4xUbnt XR5 = temp iss

Why not go for two RB433AH units? Thanks for yor reply. RB411AH is exactly same performance than RB433AH, so I prefer not to share this performance for two radios. I prefer individual radios for sector to keep each problem apart from other sector. Before this if I have a board fail, all four sector...

Re: RB800 + Big Outdoor Case(CA/OTU) + 4xUbnt XR5 = temp iss

RB800 is completely dead when it hangs on "high" temperature, even ethernet is not accessible, eth LED is not blinking, just power LED is still on, but machine is completelly dead. Same for our two pieces. So, tomorrow will change all four sectors to RB411AH each one. Is good how RB800 show tempera...

Re: RB800 + Big Outdoor Case(CA/OTU) + 4xUbnt XR5 = temp iss

This is really our greatest uptime, but we are getting hotter
I'm sorry for that. I definitely confirm temp issue, no hangs since we quit cover even with 21º outdoor, So I'm ready to place four individual RB411AH + XR5 + OTS case + PULS 24V/1.6Amp PSU each. I'm sure this will fix our problems.

Re: RB800 + Big Outdoor Case(CA/OTU) + 4xUbnt XR5 = temp iss

@OpiumDream : I bet it could be solved spending some time with coolers and case. This board comes even with various cooler conectors for failback, so if you are some kind of "McGiver" you can setup a serius performance system, but if you haven't the time nor the skills to make it, go better to other...

@acim: My RB800 is colder than yours!!! hahahaha. We opened front panel to open air and put a wire net to avoid birds. As wheater forecast it will be sunny until next monday, so I expect change to four boards this weekend. Until then, I expect no hangs with 42ºC maximum :D

@acim . It crashed!. At 63º one radio stop working, so I must restart all. I will do not more test. I just ordered four RB411AH and return RB800 back. Now our case is opened until we get the new parts.

Re: RB800 + Big Outdoor Case(CA/OTU) + 4xUbnt XR5 = temp iss

The bad about v4.6 temp bug is that you cannot check the real temperature wich is hanging the board. With v4.6 the max number is 121º (F or wrong scale). So i'm with v4.5 waiting to reach the 65ºC limit to confirm hangs. By now 54ºC inbox / 16ºC outdoor here, but 21ºC expected today.

Re: RB800 + Big Outdoor Case(CA/OTU) + 4xUbnt XR5 = temp iss

@SurferTim : Don't use this. User manual says 48v max on both power inputs. I just reviewed manual : POE runs from 38V to 56V, direct Jack from 10V to 56V, now we had about 54.2 V inbox, with a 100W PSU, I think we can bring enought power to run. I bet this is a temp issue, maybe RB800 + 4 XR4 can´t...

Re: Help wanted searching for a server to run ROS

Well, if somebody is interested too, I at last solved it with this IP KVM :

It cost me about 300 €, but it worth it. Now I can control remotely at BIOS level any computer with ROS.

Best.
