Omnitik ether1 RX/TX too-long ??

Omnitik reports at ether1 (Overall Stats) rx/tx too-long?
This port is configured as MPLS interface (mpls MTU 1524) and max L2MTU is 4076, curent L2MTU 1600.

Latest RoS ver.

Any suggestions?
What is main meaning off that report?

Re: Block User By Hostname

ok but if the hacker set his ip manually his pc will not appear in ur dhcp and u will not find his pc's hostname
Then there is the option in hotspot-user profile- to setup one sesion for same user (mac address)... there is no solution that 100% works, but we can make headache to hacker. ;-)

Multi VPLS for PPPoE

Hi all. We are building a network that connects users via PPPoE connections to internet using sextants for PtoP connections and RB 433GL as base stations. Core router is RB1100AH. considering that PPPoE needs layer2 connectivity MPLS and VPLS are my choice to achieve L2 connectivity between core rou...

/ip dns set allow-remote-requests=yes cache-max-ttl=2h cache-size=8192KiB \ max-udp-packet-size=8192 servers=8.8.4.4 You set remote dns request=yes Then DHCP should assign clients that information sou they can use SXT2 as DNS server /ip dhcp-server network add address=192.168.1.0/24 comment="defaul...

Re: Help with SXT setup and two separate networks

SXT come with some configuration (I think NAT masquerade, wlan1 client mode, def. gateway on eth1, some IP setup...). When setting up network I always discard such settings and do it on "my way". Sometimes def. configuration is helpful to users with less routerOS knowledge. Sou, did you enable "remo...

Re: Help with SXT setup and two separate networks

Hi. You can setup masquerade on SXT2. eth1 port -add Ip in 192.168.178.0/24 range, wlan1 add ip in 192.168.1.0/24 range (ie. 192.168.1.6) On sxt2 set defoult gateway 192.168.178.1 (Fritz!), you can setup DHCP here if you like. Then on all hosts in network 192.168.1.0/24 gateway is sxt2 (wlan1 addres...

Re: <help>Block trial user Mikrotik Hot-spot by. hostname

In winbox, just highlight the entries and delete them. Or let them expire naturally when the lease period expires. If there is an entry for them in the lease table, this is not a problem. I think that is a problem. When there is two leases for same user, there is two diferent ip address too. whic i...

Re: <help>Block trial user Mikrotik Hot-spot by. hostname

You're very welcome.

I'll convert the other script that roland published now, which looks for bad users who are changing their MAC address often and auto deletes them from the active list as soon as they appear. :-)
I hardly waiting!

Re: <help>Block trial user by. hostname

It's WORK! Thank you wery mush! If you use this on an open public wifi hotspot, and set this as a scheduled script, be careful as some users have never changed the name of their device, e.g. 'iPhone', 'iPod-touch' and if their DHCP request does not send a hostname at all, it will be blank in the lea...

Re: <help>Block trial user by. hostname

:-( still nothing. This script must remove active user from hot-spot loged by. trial if we detecte that user clone his MAC address to get extra time on free hot-spot. If he clone MAC address DHCP server will detect his computer name on number off diferent leases.. Now we have his computer name and t...
