Re: Add print server (printer support)

+1 On RB951 "home router" it should be one of the main feature... Then install OpenWrt :) You'll have printer support. Unfortunately Openwrt not add printer support, using usb printer with OpenWRT not possible now. I have use HP laserjet 1020 with Openwrt for 2 years. you can use printer under Open...

Re: mpcie 802.11n cards for Routerboard

I install the same minipci-e wireless card on another mainboard, this time it was 168C:0030, and work with RouterOS. So, you had just inserted card to another m-tik board and it was detected correctly? What if you return this card to previous board? when I return this card to previous board(detect ...

Re: mpcie 802.11n cards for Routerboard

After 1-2 reboots I got this card working :) AR9388.png I encounter the same problem, I wonder why yours device ID auto change but mine can't, the device ID allways is 168C:ABCD after reboot and reboot, the RouterOS can't detect this hardware. I install the same minipci-e wireless card on another m...

Re: Maybe Routeros RC6.11 still has problem with Realtek RTL

Now I know what cause this problem. this mainboard's eeprom is empty, the NIC's config is saved in "efuse" of Realtek NIC, But the RouterOS's kernel driver can't work very well with Realtek's efuse of RTL8111. maybe other NIC use efuse have same problem?

Re: performance of 5GHz panel at 2.4GHz

Indeed, the hardware is going to break. The end-transistor shall burn out Each antenna is built to function in its own frequency All has to do with the SWR (stand wave ratio) http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Standing_wave_ratio Thanks for your reply, but it's very complicated. I just want to know how a...

Re: performance of 5GHz panel at 2.4GHz

5 GHz antennas are made for the 5 GHz frequency also 2.4GHZ antennes are made for 2.4GHz wifi radios Use of a 5 GHz antenna on a 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi radio the standing wave ratio will be too high and destroy the wifi radio Really? Does it means 5GHz antenna used on 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi radio will damage the har...

Re: Maybe Routeros RC6.11 still has problem with Realtek RTL

I tried 6.0RC13, still has this problem. It seems the two Realtek rtl8111D on Aopen 945GSE motherboard has no external eeprom chip( can't read eeprom data with pg8168.exe utilitis ), and the Realtek 8111D driver of RouterOS has some problem. BTW: with RouterOS 5.24, the rtl8111D occasionally works a...
