Re: Dual WAN, NO Balancing NO Failover

Actually no, this is just 2 sectors serving 40+ clients off one of 4 other base stations I have in this area, I want to use the 2nd WAN without balancing. I actually cover over 100Km2 with 35 base stations and 40 WAN connections, but that's not my concern right now or yours. So balancing breaks many...

Dual WAN, NO Balancing NO Failover

I've searched and searched and this scenario is not yet covered, please help if you can. 2 X Modems/WAN1 & 2 ===> DHCP-Client1 & 2 on hEX ports 1 & 2 --> port3 --> SXT <----> SXT<--->PBPro ===>2 X mANT15s with PPPoE servers on both. I want to send PPPoE-Server1 traffic through WAN1 and P...

Re: I need to know how to configure Weighted load balancing

Sorry to butt in and sorry if answered elsewhere, but my search results in over 5,000 answers none are what I want... I have 2 DHCP-Client WAN connections on a hEX, I have 2 PPPoE servers running on different RBs connected to the same segment, running OSPF. I know what bandwidth each PPPoE server re...

Re: hAP-Lite throughput and HDD memory woes

Thanks CZFan for the answer, however, I think this is probably an issue specific to 6.44.3, but I was hoping not to have to drive out there to manually do the upgrade, as I said, I did upgrade from the stock software to get the PWL functionality, so I'm thinking I can do the same if I'm there. So I ...

hAP-Lite throughput and HDD memory woes

Hi all, I couldn't find any specific similar posts so thought I'd start one. I'm migrating my network CPE's from TP-Link indoor to hAP-Lite for the obvious benefits of end-to-end communication and control. My network is now purely Mikrotik running OSPF with PPPoE and RADIUS to authenticate clients. ...

Re: NV2 locked to 6,5Mbit --> Known issue

Thanks for the responses guys, care to comment on this capture then?... http://kefalonia-broadband.com/imgs/10.95.40.254_s.jpg This was one of the original SXTs that I changed because it wasn't passing data. It's shown running 5.23 and as you can see according to the wireless signal level it appears...

Re: NV2 locked to 6,5Mbit --> Known issue

So it seems we are no closer to a fix of this problem... Having read through this thread, it's interesting that a hardware problem has been mentioned, so here's my take on this, maybe someone can offer me help, maybe it could help others... I have what I consider a fairly large network with currentl...

Re: New Ethernet port flap issue enquiery, PLS JOIN!

So now that I have around 50 clients spread across 6 base stations with 3 Internet feeds using OSPF, with clients linking in using station-wds so I can use PPPoE servers on adjacent routers to my Internet feeds, I can say I have been monitoring the "port flaps" and can rule out some theori...

Re: MikroTik User Manager documentation

Hi Normis, I didn't email support since my questions should be answered first in the documentation and secondly on the forums and that's my point. My questions are probably so trivial, why should I bother support with them or take valuable space on this forum which should be available for clear conc...

Re: MikroTik User Manager documentation

this has a lot of information on the test package http://wiki.mikrotik.com/wiki/User_Manager#Version_4.x_test_package_specific Well it seems to me that after the initial docs were put up 5 years ago , not much has happened to help us guys integrate User Manager into our networks. I see everywhere o...
