Re: Two Gateways One Interface

i had a setup similar to this on my original MT 532. My switch supported VLANs, so I had a VLAN for each ISP/router on the outside so that they both weren't connecting to the same "LAN" on the single MT port. Since both that cablemodem and DSL modem that I had at the time used DHCP for me to get an ...

Re: Firewall Connection Remove seems broken again v3.15, v3.16

macagiver, your example won't work for the cases when there are two different ISPs with two different address spaces, and adaptations of the wiki samples will work. With two different ISPs, you can't route packets with source addresses of one ISPs interface over the other ISPs network (and vice-vers...

No, I don't have a misunderstanding. I have two natted connections for my external communications. Re: Firewall Connection Remove seems broken again v3.15, v3.16

Fantastic :( In response to my 3rd time (3.15, 3.16, 3.17) asking Mikrotik support about it in early December, they told me: Hello, Currently connection removing is broken on big-endian platforms such as RB400 series and RB333.RB600 and RB1000. 3.18?

I see that v3.18 is out, but I can't upgrade for at least another week.

Can someone who has upgraded an RB493 to 3.18 confirm whether or not that the "/ip firewall connection remove ###" problem has been fixed, or not ??

Thanks,

3.17 too?

I see that v3.17 is out today.

If someone has upgraded already to 3.17, can they verify, please, if "/ip firewall connection remove ###" works, or does not?

(or, the equivalent command in Winbox -- Firewall/Connection tab, then click right and delete a connection) ??

Thanks in advance,

on v3.16 on a RB493 here.

Those two counting methods are both working for me, and consistent with what i see in Winbox, too. So, I'm not sure that's it

(heck, i'm not sure the /ip firewall connection remove --> 'action failed 6' problem is true across the board for v3.16 on all platforms, or not).

You don't state what version of ROS you are using. I have this same problem with my SIP connections when one of my gateways fails and I need to move the connected SIP connections over to the other interface. You can use the /ip firewall connection remove ... command to remove an existing connection....

I recently upgraded from an RB500 running v3.14 to an RB493 that I have at v3.15. I have a WAP that acts as a DHCP Relay to my RB500, so that the RB500 can dole out DHCP Addresses. The configuration works fine. I copied nearly the whole configuration over from the 500 to the 493 (the DHCP configurat...

But i've already built the 3.0 config from scratch, effectively moving over section by section that i needed to from the base system config.

so in-effect, that's how it is already configured.

Any ideas on how to capture a sup-out.rif if the machine is too busy to be writing one?

Glad to hear it's not just me.

Same here. I've upgraded to 3.1 on my RB532, and the

Also, the GUI "-" button on the Firewall/Connections page will most-times NOT remove the item selected, although intermittently, it will.
