So turned out the solar controller was doing voltage compensation due to the cold. (about 10degrees F) Installed a 'device' to lower the voltage getting to the cat5 by 3volts. Working well at this point.

I can use a 900 channel at the opposite end of the spectrum and use different antenna polarizations. 1.2 minimum meters isn't bad. I can do 2meters comfortably on this facility with vertical separation.

I figured that was what you meant. We have sites with canopy gear (3 channels) where only 2 or 1 channel usable due to out of band interference.
