Full fact reset and put the switch back on RouterOS. No change in symptoms. BTest and external tests all with the same results. CCR2216-1G-12XS-2XQ > XS+DA0001 > CRS312-4C+8XG > S+RJ10 hooked to any 1Gbps device produces 700Mbps, On the router lots of RX Pause. No TX pause. CCR2216-1G-12XS-2XQ > XS+...

RouterOS supports so much more on CRS312 than SwOS including many undesirable things like Layer 3 routing and firewall when CCR2216 does those so much better. Suggestions: Visit CRS312 Test results page. Compare "Switching results" to "Ethernet test results". Visit CCR2216 Test ...

Yep :) that did work. I started without the firewall rules and just did a accept for everything on the firewall. Then added in the firewall. It was weird. At first it did not grab a IPv6. Default IPv6 copy/paste for SOHO use [SOLVED]

I have spent a hour googling and reading and looking for a simple SOHO IPv6 setup. Hopefully a copy paste with just adding interface names.

Mikrotik really should include this for routers setup factory for SOHO use.

What I need is what every other router on the market does for SOHO.

In the above pic, and in the packet stream, I can start up packet sniffer at start up and KEEP fasttrack running. As shown in the example pic. This seems wrong. It produces less packets. This does seem really weirdly random.

On the same hardware, same device, sometimes you end up loosing 20MB.

Re: Netwatch deprecated ? [SOLVED]

If your script does not work, then it is because to one or multiple lines that can not be executed. You can debug your script and find out which line was the first that did not allow for the script to run properly. This is the command that we are looking for. FYI - we did already recieve complaints...

Re: RouterOS v5.8 released

Yea sadly its dead.. I tried another power supply just to be sure..

So the only LED on is the PWR LED..

4.5 was too much for it, hahahaha...

Re: RouterOS v5.4 released

kirshteins: My Ethernet ports are all dead. Also it wont go into Netinstall mode. Just completely random flashing on the ACT light. All the Ethernet port LED's are off. My guess is that maybe something in my configuration ( just a SOHO setup ) caused a software loop and 100% CPU when I upgraded 5.0 ...

Re: RouterOS v5.4 released

5.4 ATE MY ROUTER !?!? I had been using 5.0 since it came out... I decided to update my 450G and 750G to 5.4... I used the drop .npk into the file section on Winbox and reboot method. Updated the 450G and all is going well.. I updated the 750G and it stopped working right away on reboot. Kept reboot...

V6 ??

So the forum description has changed to
"BETA Testing and Feature Suggestions for the next RouterOS release (ROS v6)"

So..... do we get to see a V6 soon :)

I would love to have DHCPv6 in V6.. Great for all the SOHO and Home users that own Mikrotik products and are on Cable or DSL.

Re: RouterOS 5.0 is out!

So its time then to start a new beta ? hehehehe... Im still after HDCPv6 :) Just joking. Yes im sure you guys will be very busy in the upcoming weeks. Im very happy with 5.0. Re: RouterOS 5.0 is out!

Well I think its still good to say what works, not just what doesn't :) Netinstall 5.0 on a 450G and 750G worked flawlessly. No problems so far. I did each a few times and they worked every time.. Upgrading from RC11 by dragging and dropping the file using winbox on both failed. 100% CPU, weird winb...

Re: RouterOS 5.0 is out!

I think it would be good if we all posted what hardware/model we updated and what method we used to update (drag over update in winbox or netinstall,, etc ) and what results occurred.

Re: RouterOS 5.0 is out!

Netinstall and a loading of defaults with 5.0 and then loading only my required settings from a edited down export of my 5RC11 seems to have fixed things... So far no issues with 5.0. Must say tho. I think doing what I did, netinstall + default config and then pasting in scripts to configure might b...

Re: RouterOS 5.0 is out!

FAIL.. 750G.. Upgraded from RC11 to 5.0 by dragging the new file into the file section of winbox and rebooting. Winbox started loosing connection with the router right after reboot. Opening the firewall in winbox produced completely blank pages. Then a disconnect.. I did a power cycle and when I loo...
