Re: How to find R52Hn card failure?

If it was a Power Amplifier issue.

Yes, one can fix it if you had the part and could solder it back on the board.

Having open antenna, high input power, lightning.....those could all affect the power amplifier.

Yes it does work, you just need the right wireless card.

6-6.2GHz is licensed in certain countries.

Currently nobody is using this particular frequency in the U.S. as it is more often used in the asian continents

Isn't SXT a 5GHz a/n device while your tp-link TL-WN422G is a 2.4GHz b/g/n?

I don't think it has to do w/ the driver. You're AP should be a/b/g/n, that might help solve part of your problems.

Hi Fragation, Sometimes some customers experience a reboot b/c they're changing the default settings to manual Tx. This causes the card to operate above the power the card was designed for. All the Rx for most of the cards now are near -97. Remember the engenius card also has an offset, if you change the power levels outside of default you will be over driving the cards and might damage them. R5H and XR5 show the true powers.

Dbii boards are very sensitive to earthing issues. This is the F20 2.4GHz unit. Here you can see the Dbii board is earthed to the RB411, which is in turn earthed to the radio antenna. The radio antenna is then earthed to a copper water pipe via an earth strap. IMG_1316 (Medium).JPG IMG_1317 (Medium...

Try step by step to isolate the problem:
Upgrade your Router OS to 3.3.
Try G band only, if that doesn't improve then,
Then try A 5GHz band only, if that doesn't improve then,
Try a different radio card, if that doesn't improve then,
Lastly try a different routerboard version
