Re: Dyndns update script (another)

Can this be applied to the Dude? And if so, how would I go about doing that? I find that when an IP with dyndns changes, i can ping it from a dos box, but the dude doesn't update it. I get a false report saying it's down.

How do I create a probe to check status of service in Linux?

Hello, I would like to create a probe to check to see if a service is running on a linux server. I saw in the forum that this could be done in windows with outlook.exe etc.. Re: local pc's and voip phones not showing new ips in same label

The only problem with that is sometimes they take their ip phone home with them, and the subnet is different. Isn't there a way for the dude to look at the current mac address of the device, then when it does it's discovery again, it sees that the newly discovered device matches the mac of a device ...

local pc's and voip phones not showing new ips in same label

I have a linksys 310n router, with DHCP to all of our voip phones and computers in the office. I have the dude set up on a pc on the same network with a static ip. I can discover my whole network just fine, but as soon as the DHCP leases end, or a laptop is unplugged and plugged back in later on, th...
