Re: Script to change NordVPN server address [SOLVED]

Update: with no change to the original script or the RouterOS version, today the script is working again (returning a value for the best server).

Re: Script to change NordVPN server address [SOLVED]

Try it without the: \?limit=2 Thanks but without the limit it takes a much longer time but still provides no value for the new server. Without the as-value parameter this is the output (hopefully it helps finding out what's different in the JSON structure): status: finished downloaded: 6KiBC-z paus...

Re: Script to change NordVPN server address [SOLVED]

HI there! Is it just me or the script is no longer working? I mean, with the current code it provides an empty output, while removing the "as value" at the end it prints the full JSON. I guess something in the JSON structure has changed and the current script cannot locate the hostname any...

Re: backup, critical error creating backup file, ROS 6.42.1

Same here with latest 6.44.3 on x86 RouterOS.

Regenerating the SSH keys solved the issue (and reboot wasn't necessary).

Thanks!

Re: [BUG] Memory leak with EoIP tunnels on RB750

Hi, I downgraded the RB750 of my first post to RouterOS 4.11 and bootloader 2.27 (shipped with 4.11) and the used memory now is stable, few days have passed and looks like it does not increase anymore. Previously, with 4.17, there was a 500kB constant increase every single day! http://img9.imageshac...

Re: [BUG] Memory leak with EoIP tunnels on RB750

Yes, I will try 5.2 (or newer) as soon I end the tests with 4.xx: I can't really believe all the 4.xx family has this bug and nobody has spotted it! I'm quite confident that there's at least a bunch of "stable" versions that are not affected and using one of them would be enough for me! Al...

Re: [BUG] Memory leak with EoIP tunnels on RB750

Well, I'm trying with different RouterOS versions to find a 4.xx stable one without this bug, and I'll post the results of my search.

BY the way, so far no replies from Mikrotik support but I hope someone is taking care of this issue!

[BUG] Memory leak with EoIP tunnels on RB750

Hi, I opened a support ticket some days ago (#2011050266000218) regarding a memory leak on all our RB750 : day after day the "used memory" of the board increase constantly as long as there are just 3-4MB left and the board goes instable. Reboot solves the problem but then used memory keeps...

Re: Wireless package install issues.

I upgraded an RB running 4.16 to 5.0 that had the NV2 package installed and when the router came back up it didn't have any wireless package enabled and lost all the wireless settings. Is there any way around this issue? I lucked out in this case because it was the local side that I upgraded, but i...

Re: [BUG] RB1100 speed test on 4.10 and 4.11

Hi Normis, maybe you didn't noticed I'm using a 400Mbit microwave link: it's a 18GHz carrier grade device and those 400Mbit/s are real and effective, it uses 256 QAM modulation and was designed for our specific purpose, it's not a best-effort link! So, that's why I say the speed test is malfucntioni...

Re: [BUG] RB1100 speed test on 4.10 and 4.11

Thanks for your reply MRZ, but I hope you agree that a speed test that returns unreal values is quite useless!

And if I do not set any speed limits, the speed test returns wrong values, so you should agree it's not working properly!

[BUG] RB1100 speed test on 4.10 and 4.11

Hi, I'm testing 2 RB1100 connected via a 400Mbit/s microwave link (carrier grade) with gigabit ports. When I start a speed test using UDP protocol from one RB1100 to the other one: - if I do not set a speed limit, the highest speed reached is quite wrong (about 60Mbit/s), looks like the test is not ...

Re: New wireless protocol: Nv2 in v5.0beta5

Hi guys, as I did for 802.11n protocol ( look at this post ), I post below some screenshots of my test link using Nv2. Compared to 802.11n results in the very same conditions and hardware in use, I got better results with this new Nv2 protocol expecially on fullduplex links (100Mbit/s instead of the...

New wireless registration crashes all PPPoE sessions

Hi everybody, I tried searching on the forum with no luck so I wrote this post. Scenario : AP made with Routerboard (433AH, 532A or 600A) running RouterOS 4.5, two or three mini-pci cards (Ubiquiti XR2 and XR5) installed for every board. The radios in ap-bridge mode are in the same "bridge"...

Re: OSPF bug after v4 upgrade: problem and solution

Proper OSPF authentication is configured per interface where authentication type and key is specified, which you don't have. I would suggest to configure authentication on all OSPF routers the way it should be configured, then upgrade process will be smooth. Right, this is a good observation. But p...

iw4eky is right for sure. It' impossible to forecast this kind of behaviour and use in advance specific packages... I believe iw4eky is a very good mikrotik expert and if i were you i would invite him in china for the MuM for free. Guys, you know I love you, but MuM in Poland would be closer to me!...

Re: OSPF bug after v4 upgrade: problem and solution

Ok, but I was upgrading from 3.24 to 4.5 using common "combined package" and are both stable versions of RouterOS and there is no advice on this "strange" behaviour, so a common user would never be aware of what is about to happen. So if you don't agree on recognizing the arbitra...

OSPF bug after v4 upgrade: problem and solution

Hi everybody, in the last days I tried a test configuration before roll-out v4 upgrade to all my Mikrotik based network. Well, on every single Routerboard upgraded from 3.24 to 4.5 I found the same bug on OSPF : "authentication" parameter under Routing-->OSPF-->Interfaces-->Interface that ...
