Hi!

I have problem with update statements with DHCP accounting. I'm using 6.43.4 and I'm always getting 0 for acctinputoctets and acctoutputoctets.
Is problem with that version or my setup... Is there anything else that should be enabled?

What are we talking about? 40Mbps total? We are in 2018 !!!
We need at least 40Mbps per user offered and 150-200 aggregate per AP. Smart nv2, sync, better cpe, spectral scan etc...
No major upgrade to wireless since 2013. 5 years ago.

Because I have clients which are using my system and I don't want to give them all of my "magic". They need access but I don't want to allow them to see all. Main problem with MT is that user management is very poor. You can't grant specific thing to specific user - that's the main problem.

This has been covered many times. It all depends on your requirements If you can wire each ap to a central switch, simply set the ssid the same on all devices, but change the channels so that neighboring aps are at least 5 channels apart. Your device will switch aps as you move around the building....

I tried old RB44G and I have high CPU utilization on ethernet in profiler and packets drop.
I use HP ML350G5 with Xeon 4505 (Quad-2GHz) and it's much slower with this card then RB1100AH.
Is it because of virtualization (Proxmox) or because of ethernet card?
Any ideas?

But I think you should consider replacing RB450(G) with something else (RB2011 or something like that) because of RB450's MTU od 1520. You need at least 1526 fall trought your network for PPPoE over VPLS.

Maybe you could wait for new MT beta3 which would have new linux kernel with Hyper-V support integrated inside, so you could use normal network adapters instead of legacy ones and everything should work out-of-the-box...

Hi. No, status show 10Mbps rate (auto negotiation) and no drops or error packages. If I set ethernet to 100Mbps with auto nagotiation turned off, link doesn't come up.

I would determine the throughput of the wirelss link without consideration of the Ethernet link and the Ethernet links without consideration of the wireless link. I have this problem on all of my routers. It should be fixed in 5.9. But if you upgrade from earlier version, there could be setup messed up. Just try to reboote device, don't change enything. Everything should revert to normal.

Great thing would be to have PoE out on ports 2-5... Whats the idea whit those ports anyway? If they doesn't have poe out? They are great. Here is the short of it.. As the RouterOS box acts like a proxy (NAT) for all devices behind it... when ANY device behind it loggs into the hotspot on the WAN side of the RouterOS box, it appears to the hotspot that the RouterOS box has logged in... I managed to get a Viking up and running on RouterOS 3.14.
It was detected as Realtek 8139, so it is supported by the driver.
Does it working good and stable? Do You have any problems with it?

RouterOS doesn't support any ADSL modems
Grrrr. This is very good card. I tried it at one seminar. We have lots of problems with classic ethernet adsl routers. I tried lot of them but all of them have some problems.

Can anyone then recommend me good adsl router?

I have a lots of rules in mangle, nat and firewall. I have 13 AP so this is not isloated problem. I login after few days and see that rules are sorted randomly so they are not working what they should. Sometimes even happens that dynamic rules have been resorted so there is no need for login on hots...

Khm... I hope it isn't something like that. I have 200 users on that hotspot. I can't go to all of them and check their computers. But why this is happening only on 3.6 versions, not on 2.9.x? I didn't noticed that one earlier version of version 3.x.

Lots of connections from hotspot

Every MikroTik 3.6 hotspot is creating a lot of connections to port 80, somewhere on Internet and with different IP address. I'm using hotspots to let users in. On all 2.9 versions access point doesn't crating any connections. Does anyone know why is it?

no chance to get 15 km with omni
I can see my omni antenna up to 25-30 km with 16dbi client antenna. The speed isn't perfect, but it's work... For basic use it's ok.

No it isn't too far. You should get a signal but quality of it depends on many variables. Check cables, connectors, wireless cards, setings...

I downgraded to 2.9.49 and it work's ok but I'm unable to use interface based routing which is the reason why I moved to version 3, even it's in beta/rc state. I hope my support file will help guys to solve what went wrong....
