Re: RouterOS v6rc12

Drag file from desktop to winbox, after that open same file on PC and edit it, unable to save file because it has been locked by winbox. If this was intentional please remove this feature, editing hotspot html is a pain if you need to close winbox after every edit.

Re: RouterOS v6rc12

RB2011UAS-2HnD, RoS 6.0rc12

Wlan, TX power, card rates doesn't change current tx power.
Generation of hotspot pages does not work (only folders are created), also deleting everything from files and doing "Reset HTML" generates "copy failed(6)" error.

Thanks

Re: wlan with multiple AP + seamless roaming

Place some mikrotik router that will act as central one. Create EOIP tunnels between central router and devices that will be used to connect users. Create bridge on central router and add all of the EOIP tunnels to that bridge. Create DHCP server on central router bridge. Create bridge on peripheral...

Central hotspot

http://wi-free.co.uk/drw.png Hi, I'm trying to move all of my hotspots to one that will work centrally, that will leave current hotspots almost as dumb devices and central mikrotik will perform everything (landing page, radius auth, shaping). I know that can be accomplished using EOIP tunnels and t...

So, looks like no mtr, come on don't be lazy. By the rate new versions are coming out u can put it in, doesnt actually have to work, it will be properly debuged in a year or so and usable a year after that. win-win

Re: Hotspot - advanced usage

This is how I would try to do it, create a central hotspot on some webserver, make a database table (or text file or whatever) and fill it with group + time window. In hotspot page, upon post from mt you will have username (or mac or however you are authing users), check that against freeradius user...

Though I'm not sure why you'd want to in the scope of your original question? You certainly can't send CoA or RADIUS disconnects for accounts that didn't log on via that RADIUS server. Yes, stupid question. Sorry to you and all others that are going to be annoyed by it when they find this in search...

This card has two connectors, are they used for two n streams or is it just no real use AUX like on older cards?
Can I attach feed with double polarization and get two n streams?

Not exactly an answer but... I've tried MT PCC several times and never had satisfactory results, not enough knowledge about the subject I suppose. Currently three ADSL (PPPoE) WANs, one 20Mbit, and two 10Mbit are serving 200+ users, they are balanced using pfSense and for a 6 months now I've never h...

I have freeRadius server and I'm using it for wireless (MAC) auth, radius is replying with Mikrotik-Rate-Limit attribute. Can I add authenticated users to simple queues dynamically with those rate limits?

Thx

PPPoE

@rmichael
well, not enough band, it's a problem too, we are probably going to add another link from ADSL1 to ADSL2

thanks for all the answers, now I have two or three options to try but splitting network will probably be something to try first.

Sorry about the quality, image is from The Dude. Lightning like connections are wireless and simple lines are CAT5e so, yes, I am using wireless between ADSL places. Can you please tell me why you do not suggest something other than simply split networks?

Hi.
My first post.
I want to redirect users that are not in access list to some local web page. I'm not using hotspot and I'm not using proxy. Can this be accomplished by some NAT rule?

Thanks.
