Re: RB2011L: RouterOS 6.40.6: bandwith limitation on interface affects other interfaces too

export routerboard configuration here, if someone want help you, must see the config for see if are any errors OK, I've just looked and my /export contains some private info I'd like to keep secret (dhcp server leases for example). Obfuscating this would keep some time. It would help to know what m...

RB2011L: RouterOS 6.40.6: bandwith limitation on interface affects other interfaces too

Hello, using RB2011L with latest update available to RouterOS. I've tried bandwith limits in past few days but always with the effect of affecting other communication too. My setup is RB2011L sitting in DMZ of Zyxel ADSL modem. To RB2011L there are connected two users to ether2 and ether4. To ether5...

Re: Can't change newly set password.

Yes, you are right! I've been able to change the password in winbox and once I've replaced characters: !>)| by something else I've been also able to log by using webfig. IMHO looks like an issue in webfig and also in console where I've not been able to change the password by /password command. Thank...

Re: Can't change newly set password.

Can you login with winbox? If yes from winbox you can see the current password.
Yes, I'm able to log in using password I'm using with telnet/ssh. However I'm not able to locate current password. Where it should be shown?
Thanks! Karel

Can't change newly set password.

Hello, I've just configured my rb2011l and decided to enter admin password using provided web interface. I've set it and since that time I'm not able to log as admin with this password by using web interface. What's working is log in by using telnet or ssh, but not web interface. My new password con...

Re: RB2011 Announcement ?

Hello,
may I ask when RB2011L-RM will be available? I do have small rack in my home office and would be pity not to use it for placing router in and keeping desktop free from cable clutter.
Thanks,
Karel

Re: ISV enhancement of RouterOS

it's not extensible by custom packages
OK! Now what about if I save all my stuff on CF/microSD, put it into RB800/RB450G. Will RouterOS allow me to start some of my application daemons on background? If so, am I even allowed to script such startup so this will be done after any reboot?
Thanks,
Karel

nbench results on rb600a/800/1000

Hello,
is there anybody here who had run nbench (http://www.tux.org/~mayer/linux/bmark.html) on rb600, rb800 or rb1000? I'd like to consider those for custom appliance but first would like to get some basic CPU speed figure for the decision.
Thanks,
Karel

ISV enhancement of RouterOS

Hello, we're developing application level firewall and would like to provide kind of appliance using routerboards. Our only worry is if there is a chance to enhance provided RouterOS by custom functionality/package(s). So far it looks like linux with mikrotik tools on top of it, but since we've not ...
