Re: NV2 PtMP - good signal and ccq but low throughput

is the 70% CCQ with traffic? if not what is it with traffic? do a btest within your network from the client cpe and watch the CCQ. 70% is not good, needs to be nearer 90%, if if drops further under load then its definately a noise or fresnal issue. And like previous poster said, the old 433 board is...

Hi, exact same issue here. 6.31 breaks the 433. You need to downgrade. Bad news is you will need direct access to the router to perform downgrade. Reboot the rb433 and as long as there is no traffic through the router it will stay responsive long enough to downgrade.

The airfibre24HD are truly outstanding products and I think you would be ok. However, as you say, rain fade could be an issue at those distances so you may need a back up of some type. 5ghz AC may not perform at the speeds you require if the spectrum is very noisy however the airfibre 5 will almost ...

Not sure wether it is relevant. We have found some Apple devices to be troublesome on 80211a/b when non Apple devices are already connected to the same AP. Turned out to be the security authentication type. It seems if an AP is allowed to use WPA2 aes and tkip problems arise. If the AP is forced to ...

Hi All,

I need some help. I have some pptp interfaces that lock up at random times.

How can I monitor the interface and have it restart when it locks up.

I think I need to run netwatch to trigger a script but do not know where to start with the syntax.

Re: Mikrotik as DNS Server

yes, set up your preferred DNS servers in IP-DNS and tick allow remote requests, the router can then be used as a DNS relay where you can add your own static rules. Bear in mind you will need to add some firewall rules to direct all DNS requests to your own relay other wise people can simply specify...

Your ping test is from a customer cpe to a Google dns server. you need to narrow down your tests to locate the source of the packet loss then troubleshoot that section on the route

Cpe to AP cpe to next hop. Etc etc

I think SXT's will be ok providing in a low noise area, however personally i would go for sextant, better to have more power available if the enviroment becomes noisy. Also some users have had water ingress issues with SXT and maybe at that height you dont want to be replacing it in the future. Pers...

Re: new unlincensed band in Spain

EIRP means "equivalent isotropically radiated power". And 36 dBm EIRP is nothing spectacular since e.g. a Nanostation M5 offers some 28dBm output power and a 16 dBi antenna gain, thus offering 44dBm EIRP, which is way over that legal limit. Not talking about a Rocket with a dish, which surpasses 55...
