I have my Winbox windows pre-defined in my session preferences, so every new session opens with my preferred windows open in exactly the same place and dimensions each time.
How did you go about setting that up?

Why would they change this?

I have over 1000 routers that are now no longer backing up and since all of the customer names are different it this will be a challenge to correct.

Is this change maybe reverted in a later version?

On older router OS versions (4.x and below), make sure you actually drag the .npk file into the "Files" dialog box, or you will get this message

AFAIK fast-path is so the traffic bypasses the firewall already, so not sure it's possible to keep it enabled, but still control it with a rule that it will bypass anyways...

I'm still learning myself, so my knowledge is fairly limited.

Also, I think you may be confusing Fasttrack with Fastpath

Yes,  this is connected via MAC-Telnet

It never used to disconnect on 6.32.4 and below.  Just re-tested this, but on 6.34.6 and 6.35.4 it does

Nothing added to pre-hotspot / hs-auth chains... Well, if they're behind another device that's authenticated, then the hotspot itself shouldn't break anything. The expected behavior would be that the CRS CPU is busy running the test, so the throughput would suffer. Here in my situation it is different, its actually faster by a bit, when using BTEST on the PC the speeds are a bit slower, not much, but they are. Do you mean the windows executable btest.exe?...

I also should add,

If I run a /tool torch on that bridge, it clears the issue up also (no lost pings to any of the devices on that bridge)

the lightning bolt in the upper left hand corner of the client (it'll still disconnect you from the server when running it localally)

when you click it a second time you'll see a "login" prompt...

sometimes' it can get hung up loading images (even the included icons) but usually disconnecting/reconecting the client to the server fixes it....

I have found that just disconnecting and reconnecting the client will get icons to show up. Also using more than one of any icon gives it a much better chance of loading.

sorry, i was talking about the device settings in "The Dude" so when you do have multiple IP's/Interfaces and say you have Ping setup on that device.... but it decides to show down b/c the only IP it pings when added was the IP address that was used by DNS when the device was added.... but in a case...

it's on windows xp sp3 (dedicated box) but to answer your question in a way, i've manually done all these things, chkdsk (which one time did happen to correct invalid index entries only in the Dude working dir) ... seems though i've traced this down to the images you've manually uploaded yourself......

somehow in b/t one of the restarts devices have moved to other submaps, etc

let this be a lesson, restarting the server (running as a service) could make things worse :(

many reasons I could think of off the top of my head atm import from a DB perhaps created by another network monitoring program you might be trying to replace because like most network admin's you don't have time to rely on "hoping discovery works" or manually adding 1200+ devices don't really think...
