For 3rd and last time:

PLEASE leave linux-like interface configuration alone, spare me useless hours reconfiguring my boxes!
Let wireless or ethernet configuration remember old setting from replaced cards. It so useful feature, don't really know why you are ingnoring my request past 2 or 3 years.

With 5ghz-turbo mode, polling with nstreme, and properly tunned mikrotik links, you can get around 50mbps half duplex with this setup.

Use better antennas, better cards, pigtails or change whatever is pushing your signal back. 10 kms you should easyli do 50mbps with 60 cm. antennas at both ends and signal ~<-60db

Why didn't you just gave us the totals?
You can do this with any wireless setup for 10KM and no traffic on the link.

IMHO MT should put this as separate package for testing, because they are closing on "final" stages of 3.0 release. Better now when it is still beta or rc.

Hi there,
just put AP in mode AP, wds-mode=dynamic wds-default-bridge=(whataver bridge name you make). Put wlan interface in bridge and then at your side put wlan in mode station-wds, than make bridge interface and put in it ether and wlan interfaces. that should do it.

For your reference, with this level, on rb133c i can establish AP mode - not bridge, turning this unit into 50 euro AP!

confirmed.
brand new 133c's upgraded from .34 to beta 9 - 100% CPU load, bad response, but can still get in it. Downgraded immediately to .43

Do not downgrade wireless from beta 7 to 2.9.* or whatever version you are using. Will let you anything else but wireless going on. Interfaces are in disabled mode, so you can't enter in. Good side is that you have routing capabilities and ethernet working.

i see that too, so i thought that ubiquity made its cards for US use primary (5.7Ghz) and operating from 4.9-6.1 Ghz as atheros chipset. As you know amplifiers work best @ certain freq, so 400mw is just another LNA over atheros reference design.

i see 100 cpu load, high ping times even on ethernet side, strange reboots when changing wireless tx power, 1 minute reboots, etc. 4 routers upgraded - 2 runs almmost ok, 2 downgraded.

BGP is broken in 2.9.13
creates some kind of loop, which saturates the link between routers. Downgrading to 2.9.12 fixes the problem.

Hi,
yes you can rely on BGP as long as you keep it running inside your network with no filters. OSPF is not reliable yet.

happened to me too - seems 2.8.26 is buggy.
I have about 20 ospf MT connected routers in my network and can confirm that with 2.8.26. Previous versions run OK.
BTW do telnet 0.0.0.0 in command promt and benefit from all quagga can offer :) Ports are 2604 - ospf, 2605 - bgpd.

Please iclude in some of the next builds bgp, ospf load balancing - these are available in zebra and quagga, will be very easy to implement. Very handy when you have 2 or even 3 different routes to same place.

ps. tried new 2.9 latest - /routing ospf,bgp crashes console.

Hi folks, been wondering if there is some way bridging 2 boxes without using eoip in my case there was wds, but when switched to nstreme wds disconnects. Tried directly to bridge wlan and ether interfaces, but without success. Any comments on this?

There has to be some problem in nstreme, because on my 46km link i get signal -68 rate 54mbps (everything seems to be fine) but ping times are from 3 to 1000ms jumping all around. When i switch to no-nstreme the link goes like it should be - pings 1ms, little less bandwith. I am using latest 2.8.13 ...
