Re: LHG 60G experience

We have found that if you lock the tx-sector using the cli and do the alignment, once you unlock the tx sector, the rssi gets better by 2-5 db. Not sure if it would get there without this procedure tho. Since there are 64 sectors, we lock it to the middle. We don't bother with the arrows, we look at...

In RE of address list performance: From a computer science perspective, it's faster to compare a single IP to a large list of IPs all at once vs each IP individually. connect to remote radio with telnet and run /int wireless scan 0 duration=5

The link will drop, the telnet session stays open, the link comes back and you get the output. The telnet session timeout is higher then the scan duration.

It's not spectral but it's something.

If you are using MAC authorization then you can use user profile in hotspot to set queue size. A dynamic queue will be added under simple queues.

If you can get then to turn on and configure PPPoE you can use that to log the xboxs in without fiddling with the hotspot stuff. PPPoE and hotspot can coexist and function at the same time. PPPoE dial ins are not blocked by the hotspot.

I did run the test, and I had 56 ms buffer space. Even if someone at the ISP wanted to do something about it, it could completely be outside of their control if it's a router not on their network. If you are using the mikrotik as a DNS cache system, you'll need to increase the max DNS packet size from the default 512 to at least 4096 or 8192. long uplink buffer times - Mikrotik or ISP problem?

Look under queue. Find your queues for each interface and any simple queues or queue trees you have set up.

All of the default queues on mikrotik are really small. 50 packets or less.

It's likely not on your mikrotik side but on the dsl providers side.

Good to find another SN listener.

Target 192.168.0.0/24 will limit all IPs from 192.168.0.1 to 192.168.0.254 under same queue.

If you want each IP to have specific speed look up PCQ in manual or create simple queue for each IP.
