Re: capacitor problem

There are two main parameters for CAP. First is ESR (equivalent serial resistance at defined frequency - lower is better), the secon is ripple current (higher is better, generally ripple current increase with capacity). If its possible to choose 105°C or 125°C design, choose them. The life time will...

Re: RB-493G ethernet lockups

May be basic idea, but did you try to change UTP cable for sure? I have seen twice that one component works fine, UTP was checked by simple tester like this . And another component didn't work well till I changed UTP for new or use second pair for data. For sure use check link using another UTP min ...

Re: v5.15 released!

Hello guys, I got a strange bug in 5.15: when I create users through terminal, say with /user add name=xxx password=yyy group=zzz , the user actually gets created without a password (so anyone can login as xxx). I can see the already same for 5.11 using on my 493G. When I added new user trough winb...

Re: RouterBoard USB port not active?

Never mind. I tried it with the powered USB hub and then it worked. I guess that's my solution. Let me know please the type of HUB, recently I tried connect some USH hub and Flash together with APC and it didn't work (even separately). This was USB hub type like this http://t2.gstatic.com/images?q=...

Re: RB433AH not always starting

What voltage do you use from power source? My experience is that less than 18V can by problematic in case short UTP is used. For sure I use 24V/2A for these boards and good quality POE (sometimes was problem in JACK on POE board and I must cut the wire from power source and solder it directly to the...

Re: RouterBoard USB port not active?

So thanks Janisk for avice. I try to add power source to usb made by voltage regulator. Schematic is here http://img12.rajce.idnes.cz/d1202/5/5877/5877236_29056599dada35a14bc409248991f8aa/images/stabik.jpg This edit add +5V (using 78M05 is max 0,5A) to pin 1 of USB independent of power voltage value...

DST adress redirect to other RB

Hi, can someone show me how to set redirecting packet to second RB. I have 2 RB's (as clients) in the same wifi network. The first RB uses NAT between WLAN and LAN. I have public IP on WLAN RB1 (for example IP 1.1.1.1). It is possible to redirect packet (only one port) incoming from the internet on ...
