the bridge setup is not a good idea in general, but that won't affect the speed so much.
What is the correct way to set them up?

Re: Poor SXT 5HnD Speed PTP

enuro12... I would double check your settings.

This was with the transmit power set to 0 on both devices, 8ft apart and 50ft apart.

I used 3 of my MP IP cameras to test the bandwidth for a real world test.

Mikrotik wireless vs turnkey solutions.

We design sell and install IP camera solutions and we are getting into wireless for some of our jobs. Nothing big just some short PT, PTMP, MESH solutions. There are some companies that specialize in wireless for video/voice so they say. So my question is why would I use http://www.firetide.com or h...

Found it!! Security in Nv2 network Nv2 security implementation has the following features: hardware accelerated data encryption using AES-CCM with 128 bit keys; 4-way handshake for key management (similar to that of 802.11i); preshared key authentication method (similar to that of 802.11i); periodic...

Re: Advice for a small link

They're a cheap CPE, not a speed demon.

Anything below WPA-AES is going to drop your link speed down to 802.11a/g speeds. N does not work with WEP or TKIP.
So what would you recommend to secure the PTP links? I would love to read a wiki on this. T

Re: Remote Video Survelliance

Why would you want to use POE for solar applications? 12VDC for Mobotix and 12VDC for Routerboard. Personally I think POE is a PITA when your trying to do stuff like this.

Re: Remote Video Survelliance

Why not just use Mobotix with a Routerboard the solution already works? What VMS software would you install or are you going to develop your own? Just so I understand you will have an IP camera or encoder and you will be running VMS software on the Routerboard using the SD or USB for storage. Am I c...

If I leave these un-checked is my network at risk? If so what firewall rules would I have to implement for the port forwarding to work?
