Is 32MB RAM of RB500 enough for RouterOS 2.9

I will plan to use RB500 as PPPoE access concentrator.

Is 32MB RAM enough for 100-150 concurent simultaneously connections ?

Any opinions ?

we have tested about 1.6Gbps (3.2Gbps aggregate) throughput with no cpu problems with intel xeon processor. i'm not sure how it performs with bgp and all kinds of other stuff. Can you write you`s hardware configuration? MotherMoard? NIC ? NIC bus ? (pci, pci-e, pci-64, pci-x, etc ?) Thank for infor...

And P233 have some limits for Bandwidth: 15-20Mbps

I am not sure for RouterBoard, its depens from Chipset type (PCI BUS)

Its depend from Memory&CPU

For P233 + 128MB, max limit must be not less 150-200 (IMHO),
try search Mikrotik manual, section PPPoE&PPP for more information

Use /radius menu in Mikrotik and setup connection to FreeRadius

It use udp&tcp packets from Mikrotik to Radius server and sent AAA data.

Mikrotik fully compatible with FreeRadius and no compatible problem exist.

I used it.

AIR-352 (350 series) and 340 series
it not so good. ( I used it for close range 1-3 km)

"Orinoco gold" better what cisco for middle range (2-7km) IMHO.
