Re: v6.16/v6.17

Changing profiles in quickset you get a warning that you could loose connectivity, no matter what i answer it just pops back to my original quickset profile. Running Chromes and windows 7. I have confirmed this on Safari and FireFox after I upgraded two SXT-AC units. Has this been confirmed as a bug?

Re: VRRP failover

andrewluck, Were you ever able to successfully implement this? I needed a similar setup for implementing plain failover routing (not vpn) and I have done it using the following strategy: - I have no scripts on the master router: [admin@master] > /interface vrrp print detail Flags: X - disabled, I - ...

Re: VRRP serious BUG!?

Are there any updates on this issue? Is this a confirmed bug? I just want to know so I can make other arrangements instead of using VRRP. Also could this be caused by a bad config (Have you setup the routers from scratch or set one up and copied the config to the second one?)

Re: Hotspot blocks access to DNS servers over time

Thanks Guru. I will give this a shot. Can I use the hotspot's IP address as the dns-name or can I not even set a dns-name in its profile because I don't have access/control to the external DNS servers. So I might not be able to add an entry for the hotspot's dns name to the dns servers.

Thanks again.

Hotspot blocks access to DNS servers over time

Hello, I have a RouterOS hotspot (level 6) running at my core location. Behind it I have a few servers and a couple of other Mtik hotspots. My problem is: After a period of time (hours) everything behind the core hotspot can't ping the DNS servers. The core hotspot router can ping the DNS servers bu...

Re: Public IP Routing + Proxy-ARP ...

Yes I got it working. The problem I think was the subnet overlap. I have two upstream providers (each routing a /21 to me) and I am using MT routers on both providers and they both work. In both cases the /21 blocks are being routed to me by the upstream providers via a /30. So they route the entire...

My setup is as follows: ether1 (WAN): IP = 1.1.1.10/24 <-- example /24 within the /21 block ether2 (LAN): IP = 1.1.2.1/24 <-- example /24 within the /21 block I have proxy-arp enabled on both interfaces and i have a d...
