Re: Possible Traffic Flow bug?

Hi In our Mikrotik Routers (ccr2116 and ccr2004) we use Traffic flow to send traffic to Netflow Server. In Traffic Flow Settings we only select certain interfaces, but Mikrotik sends all interfaces to the net flow server. Even dynamic PPPOE interfaces are sent to net flow, despite only Core network...

Support for Solos PCI ADSL2+ Modem - 4 Port

Does RouterOS v5 have support for the Solos PCI ADSL2+ Modem - 4 Port? http://linitx.com/product/12607 The support site says that the driver is included in Linux 2.6.29 and I know that v5 uses 2.6.35 Has anyone tried this? If people don't think it will work how would I go about getting the driver su...

Inbound NAT, multiple ISP's traffic flow

Hi all, I am trying to get two IP addresses that are presented on the MT from two different ISP's to be natted to the same internal host, this is basically to provide redundancy! I have go it working in that the nat'ed addresses do work and I can contact the servers using these addresses, though I d...

Re: Multipath Routing and IPSec

Hiya, I am having the same problem. I have setup some policy based nat for IPSEC and UDP 500 on the output chain and then use the relevant routing mark to route the traffic down the correct gateway. Only problem is IPSEC seems to break whenever I do this! It works of I just have a route without the ...

Re: Per-Packet Routing

Humm, interesting! I was hoping that Nth might do the trick as I actually don't care about a connection taking the same circuit as our ISP doesn't care either! Nth was working perfectly for all traffic that wasn't IPSEC related and originating from the router! It seems to me it would be harder to sh...

Re: Per-Packet Routing

Yep that makes perfect sense, thanks!! Hit yet another brick wall!! How can you use Nth for packets that are NAT'ed or orginate from the firewall ie IPSEC traffic and hosts that are hidden behind an IP address that is on the Microtik?

Thanks

Re: Per-Packet Routing

Hi, Thanks for the reply, I did manage to work it out shortly after I have posted it! It seems to do exactly what I want! My reasons are that we use an ISP that allows us to send packets up any number of ADSL routers from the same routed IP block, that way we don't have to worry about returning traf...

Per-Packet Routing

Evening All,

Does anyone know if you can do per-packet routing with the Mikrotik? The nearest I have found is ECMP but the docs state that "A new gateway is chosen for each new source/destination IP pair" so therefore its technically not per packet.

Thanks

Re: Best method to load balance 2 internet line?

I would prefer to use ECMP, my ISP does the download load balancing and presents it to each of the lines on a routed back! Therefore each of the DSL modems have an external IP and a IP address on the routed block. The MT has an IP on the routed block so providing I could use ECMP gateway checking on...

Re: Best method to load balance 2 internet line?

Hi all, I have been trying to get this working for about a week now! Basically my setup is very similar to what you have all achieved, except I want my default route to have more than one gateway in. When the route has one gateway in its fine and the next hop correctly detects if the link is down. I...

Re: Checking and disabling Gateways

Hiya, Yep the makes perfect sense, I will have to go back to the drawing board because I need it to do per packet routing to the 3 routers addresses and disable (remove or add) that particular gateway (they are ADSL modems), within the one default route rule if it can no longer route to the internet...

Re: Checking and disabling Gateways

Hi, I am trying to do something very similar! Our default route has three gateways and I want to enable or disable them based on the what this script detects about the state of the line. I guess the problem is that you cannot just disable or enable an actual gateway, you have to add or remove it! I ...

Hi all, Been trying to get this working for a few days now. I want the MT to do the upload load balancing via the M...

Re: Testing Scripts

So the best way to test it is to use global vars and run it though terminal to see the output? I have tried running the script from command line and all I get is failure at the moment! I guess essentially I want a way to debug it..

I can get a bridge to work fine in station pseudobridge clone mode but then the pppOe connection that I am trying to initiate from the router board ...
