Re: SXTsq 5 ac. WTF? It doesn't work.

So, how is it working for you guys, I'm running on 6.42rc52, 4km, so far working best with 802.11, and I did test Nstreme and NV2. but I'm not satisfied with the link, unstable overall TX CCQ, and pings spikes here and there. Its planned as a replacement for RB911G that is deployed here, but looks l...

VPLS question

So I moved from EOIP to VPLS, and I encountered some problems *here* is the network layout example. Everything is bridged via local bridge, but on router 10.0.0.1 I created separated bridge called "switch" and assigned eth4 port to it, I also created two VPLS interfaces with different VPLS...

Re: capsman setup guide

ye, figured that you can create virtual AP by adding interface and bind it to master interface :)

Missed that on first go.

works like a charm so far.

Re: capsman setup guide

just two quick questions;

is it possible to create virtual AP also with it?
does it play nice if you have multiple AP's in same area with same settings, can it manage client roaming from one AP to another? (probably not yet implanted)

One bug I found with new Cloud feature, even if you untick "Enable", your router will still be accessible from that reported DNS.

Re: Best practice to cover wide area?

What if I set it to disconnect client on "Connect list" at -80 ? I got it to work, but it takes a second or so to connect to new AP, is there a way for proper seamless connectivity, like being connected to both AP's at the same time before you disconnect, or it does not work like that due ...

Best practice to cover wide area?

Hello, I'd like to cover a large restaurant with wireless signal, and their main request is, that the network would be the same, without changing between APs, now I wonder what would be the best way to it? I have 4 RB951UI-2HnD that I plan to deploy, I did play a bit with WDS dynamic but it was kind...

Traffic sharping/QOS of a tunnel

Hi, In order to transfer IPTV (IGMP) to client I used EOIP tunnel, but the problem is, as soon someone starts using internet, the image gets distorted/broken. TV uses 7mbps, and actual TCP from/to client is around 80mbps. So what can I do to correct it?

Am I wrong here, why can you not run WDS on L3?
You are probably right, but what wireless mode do I need to configure on the clients?

Can client 1 and client 2 be setup as station bridge or am I missing something? Its set as station bridge, but virtual AP is not working. I use a similar setup with 5shp's. AP bridge, station bridge, station bridge. I'm not doing anything with virtual AP. Maybe this will help...? http://www.wispfor...

Wireless repeater

Hi, I wonder how can I use SXT lite as it only has one antenna as wireless repeater? I already purchased license 4 that allows me to create WDS and Virtual AP. But I don't know what "wireless mode" should I use to work, according to wiki, repeater should be working as AP-Bridge, but as soo...

Re: fetch url problem / sms api

Did not help much, for now I resorted to PHP nexmo library that's running on my server, and fetch is working normally there, maybe at some point add lighttpd server on Metarouter, and put scripts there.

Re: Review my setup before I deploy it

Got most of the stuff up and running :D

But I do have a question, what wireless protocol to use for PTP link? At the moment I'm using nv2, distance between sites is 4km, 100/10Mbit uplink. Also, what wireless protocol use for the omnitik?

Re: Review my setup before I deploy it

Ok, I got my RB2011 installed, and sextant G also (I think). Used default settings, so Ethernet1 is used as DHCP WAN port, and I configured Ethernet2 as static WAN port, incoming ports on Ethernet1 are blocked, and I configured Ethernet2, so I can remotely access and configure the unit, so far every...

Remote location for management, but modem supports one dynamic and one static ip for wan. So i will use static ip to access management website, while dynamic will be used for internet. I don't need VPN in this case.

Wireless QoS

Hi, well my question is, can I use RB750G router to limit speed of users on wireless based by MAC/IP? The thing is, I plan to use UBNT Nanobridge & Nanostation hardware, and the setup would look like this: AirOS does let me set the traffic shaping, even at user end of antenna, but the thing is, ...
