Hi there,

I was just wondering if there was any way to access a RB be hide another RB using winbox from the outside of RB1; without setting the firewall forwarding ports.

For example:
ISP connection > RB1 (ip: 10.10.10.10) > local network RB 2 (ip 192.168.0.1) .

I see what your saying now. Really to get a wireless system I would need around 75AP at least from towers and at that rate, no amount of channels is going to do the job.

I was really hoping to avoid fibre, as its going to cost so much across 10miles of road. Anyone care to estimate?!

Hi there,
Can anyone suggest a method to graph the total amount of downloads and uploads running through a hotspot which can be viewed the graph system of ROS?

Ideally it would be good to see month by month total usage.

Thanks

Hiya,

They are clients plugged directly into the router.

Simply log the client (running windows 7) in to the hotspot and then restart the router. The client will keep the ip address and the router should product that message.

Hi Its not issues addresses that its done already - its simply creating a mis-match if the client (hotspot user) does not refresh their ip. And once this cycle starts, it doesn't stop. /ip dhcp-server lease> print Flags: X - disabled, R - radius, D - dynamic, B - blocked # ADDRESS MAC-ADDRESS HOST.....

Instead of rate limiting to 5/2 in the example, set max-limits that are very high (e.g. 100mbps) and don't use the PCQ piece.
But won't this have an effect across all clients and AP's?
My clients are based on 10.5.50.X; whereas the AP is based on 192.168.1.X.

Re: Standby/Replicate config

The command you need is /ip firewall export
this will give you a complete print out of your rules, but if there are IP addresses that relate to your LAN then this may need to be changed to take note of the difference in IPs

But looking at the 5 rules below this one:
5 chain=forward action=drop src-address=!192.168.0.0/24 dst-address=192.168.0.0/24

Seems to block all traffic for some reason when used; any idea why?
