CPU was 100% almost all the time. All interfaces were disappearing and appearing . So i think we will wait ...

5.x is developement . So i will not risk installing it on production machine that terminates 1k pppoe sessions.

No, it needs the newer Linux kernel (in RouterOS 5.x) for support. Tom Thanks Tom for answer. We replaced thet x86 box with some other.
When it was not connected to the production network ( it was not running 300 pppoe sessions ) the downrade was OK.

we upgraded to 5rc7 on x86 but we noticed that interfaces disappear and appear .
We tried to downgrade to 4.16.
I downloaded all packages - put them to the mikrotik - run /system package downgrade - the box rebooted BUT no effect.
It is still 5rc7.

Please help - how to downgrade.
