Re: HELP!!! Strange tranfer rate issue.

8 to 6 huh. Someone goes to work and fires up their PC riddled with PvP. Torrents you to a standstill. Goes home at 6, shuts it down and service goes back to normal.

*shrug* Maybe.

Can you torch the affected devices when the trouble is happening?

Re: EoIP tunnel question

Separate tunnels, then bridge them (assuming you want them bridged).

And bonus tip...never use tunnel ID zero.

Good luck.

Re: Dual polarization antennas or two antennas in one unit

Hello,

We will test 2x HDDA5W-32-DP with 4x XR5 radio cards on about 25km huge link this days, and I will post some test results here...
did you test these, and are they worth the $380+ each?

Sam
Yes, see my post above.

Re: Dual polarization antennas or two antennas in one unit

Poynting's dual-pol 5Ghz enclosure/antenna has worked great for us. An RB600 fits inside. Ditto this. We have good luck with the Poynting case + 600 + R52hn over short distances (under 5 miles). We have achieved just shy of 90mbit with two 600 boards stripped down (necessary packages only, connecti...

We run many bridges in this mode. Easy setup, and it works just fine.

Is your AP a Mikrotik? If so you can achieve the same effect via EOIP tunneling.

Re: CPU stuck at 100%

Looks like P2P. Do you run a filter? Disable any packages you aren't using. If you can manage to get in during an event torch the client-side interface and see if any of your customers has a large number of active connections. If so try disabling service to that individual and see if performance cle...

Search the forums for "hw retries".

In advanced change the default "4" to 10 or 15.

30 km 5 Ghz link over water: lake St-Jean, Qc, Canada - SR71-15 on each side; We've had better luck with R52n's than the SR71's. We tried the 71's...excited about the 3-chain ability. But in our testing, while the 71's work "fine", throughput and CCQ is consistantly better on the R52n's. Our testin...

Re: High Latencies on Mikrotik Noted

Does rainy weather affects operating mikrotiks? I have noted with a lot of concern whenever it's raining, most of my back hauls links have crazy latencies. When sunny, same links are perfect. Any idea????? :( What's the distance on your link and frequency you're using? You will get some rain fade, ...

Re: Data Rates Problem 5GHz a/n

I'm with Oldman on this. We don't do anything special to connect an A radio to a newer N card as long as the N card is running mixed mode. I suppose if the N card was set to N-only mode you might have this problem, but you wouldn't do that if you had the intention of connecting legacy A clients. Per...

Re: PCQ and slow ping

No, that's not normal. Is this the same hardware you were using to achieve the <10ms times? If not can you test them side by side? How are your system resources? If you disable the queue and ping through the device directly do you still see the latency?

Have about a dozen R52Hn's in production and twice that number R52n's. These are new installs or replacing DCMA-82's and DBII-2/5's primarily installed on 600 boards with a few 433AH's. All running POE. We did have heat/burnout problems with the DBII's. No issues with the R52n's that replaced them i...

I would like to replace an existing 5Ghz link that currently has Pac Wireless 32dB dishes in place, the distance is 30KM and i can achive -55 I would like to use the Pac Wireless Dishes a...
