Re: v7.14 [stable] is released!

Which version you had on CCR2004-1G-2XS-PCIe, before you did update to 7.14 ?
7.13.5 as I have on hosting x86.

why you make it so hard to belive stable branch is something that is considered STABLE???

are You testing it on recent devices or just letting ppl like me to be betatester???

Fast forward is no use, its a switch with more than 2 interfaces.

I suppose switch chip is doing something nasty with pppoe packets.
it looks like that on CRS series problem doesn't exist. So it's either switch chip
doesn't handle pppoe packet correctly or something in config that I can't see.

I wonder if mini-pcie toUSB adapter will work in this router? In such a way we could have had USB at the expense of 2ghz radio.
why don't use any minipcie 2ghz capable wireless card?

I've got 3011 running for almost year or so, as a PPPoE server, queues for each of 200-249 clients. (traffic up to 250-300mbps ) looking into cpu usage history tells that it's saturation is about 30-50% not more, but it may be moments when smthng maxes one core so I'd recommend 1100AHx4 it should be...

Re: Usage of miniPCI-E - ethernet

I use with succes an intel i350 dual gigabit minipci-e card. But it works only in x86 hardware, strangely it doesn't work at all with any rb with minipci-e slot (rb912,rb800). It is detected in pci list but doesnt work in routerboard. The same card with the same ros works flawlessly with x86. So I a...

Dear Normis! If You say it's gonna be big, large board let it be even bigger than rb800!
Tilera outperformes mipsbe/ppc so in near future we would need some kind of wireless capable board with Tilera to cope with 802.11ac throughput capabilities.

Re: RB-912UAG - impossible to use both cards - IRQ conflict.

In my test I was using different bands 2,4 rx and 5ghz tx so interference couldnt occur.
simple exchange rb912 to x86 solved the problem with cpu 100%.
You show no irq assigment, neither cpu usage in Your test, but it looks quite convincing.
Maybe 6.7. is solution.

I'm not thinking I cannot use, I faced the real problem on production link. as I realised using both cards simultanously for ptp (either bonding or ospf ) is limited due to IRQ sharing! as far as i know 1 IRQ and 1 CoreCPU cant go with 2 interfaces on one IRQ without speed degradation, it's a fact. ...
