Re: G.Fast SFP modules

Anyone tried it?

If yes. how do you setup it since (as far as I know) mikrotik does not have a special menu
for interacting with it (setting user name, protocols, looking at the statistics of DSL etc)

Re: Load Balancing 2 internet "providers" at the same subnet

Actually my problem is solved if I find a way to mark an internet connection coming through a specific gateway (IP of my internet box) instead of marking it coming through a specific mikrotik ethernet port. Any ideas? I am trying to find a way to replace IN-interface=ISP1 at the following line: add ...

Load Balancing 2 internet "providers" at the same subnet

Altough I looked I could not find a working solution. I have 2 routers at my network with access to different internet "lines" . Please look at the drawing (one is a DSL modem) and the other an "internet box" . Both are at the same subnet and for a good reason I CAN NOT put them at 2 different ether...

Re: XR5 frequent disconnects when adjusting power

Found the problem....
It was a device that protects from thunders that was causing the problem
It is for one use only and probably the gas inside it was damaged due to
a thunder without me noticing.
Now removed and no more disconnects

Re: v3rc and poor performance about nstream-dual in real field

Did you try to adjust the power of the cards? Are they at the default setting?
I had an issue of signal fluctuating MUCH within milliseconds when I tried to lower
the transmit power of an XR5
With default power it was OK

Re: XR5 frequent disconnects when lowering power

I verify the transmit power of the radio by the signal my client receives me. As i told you, when i put default Mikrotik reports a value of 22(12 dbm) and my client receives me at -38 When i put transmit level 20 , mikrotik reports transmit power of 10dbm and my client receives me at -45 for few mill...

Re: XR5 frequent disconnects when lowering power

Actually by putting 20 i LOWER the power. The default is more than this (i have to check exactly how bigger) If i go less than 20 then it can not connect at all. With the default (around 22 but i will check the exact value)) my client has a signal of -38 With 20 the signal fluctuates betwen -45 and ...

Re: rc9 lockups in Jetway JF4K

More thorough investigation revealed that the problem (lockup) comes when
the rtl8110 shares an irq with another caard.
If i leave it alone in an irq it works OK
So there is something about irq sharing .

Re: rc9 lockups in Jetway JF4K

There are supposedly special linux 2.6 setup instructions for VIA boards
http://wiki.contribs.org/JetwayMiniITX

Any hope that these are included at the next release candidate of mikrotik?

Are there any significant differences betwen 5213 (CM9)
and 5413 or 5414?

I plan to upgrade and i have a choice betwen CM9 and
compex 5413 (which does not support Turbo)

Is the newer chipset better than the "old" ?
