Re: DDoS force from Mikrotik devices

Thank You for your reply, it is good to see that I am not the only one who experienced the force of this "phenomenon". I am really curious what will Mikrotik react, will they sweep it under the carpet saying that this is the users fault and they cannot do anything, or will they actually ni...

DDoS force from Mikrotik devices

Dear Mikrotik! There is a lot of talk about mitigating DDoS attacks with mikrotik routers, but Mikrotik could help by preventing DDoS attackers from using Mikrotik devices as a tool to attack. Yesterday a multi-gigabit DNS attack was used against our company, or one of our clients. -we cannot be cer...

Re: Problem with Huawei E3372 4G modem

I have an E3372h-153 (T-mobile Hungary) modem ndis-ppp firmware, which did not work at first because of the need of usb modeswitch. I could fix the problem using the AT^SETPORT command. The original mode was: AT^SETPORT="A1,A2;12,1,16,A1,A2" I set the modem to: AT^SETPORT="FF;12,1,16&...

Re: Leap second bug present on TILE devices?

Hello Normis! I have another question for you: We have 2 CCR1036 which were connected to the internet, with NTPD enabled and syced at the time of the incident. Both were affected, both had WatchDog enabled. As far as I know Tile cpus has hw watchdog integrated, and it has support in the linux kernel...

Feature request - tftp more verbose log

I could not find any previous feature request for this, So I decided to post one: Tftp server only states that a file was not found, or permission denied. It would be most useful, if the log contained: -the tftp originating IP address -the requested file name -the real file name (after conversion, i...

Re: [BUG REPORT] route

how many routes do you have in your route table? The simptom is, that the router disappears from the local (lan) network, and it can no olnger be reached, or pinged. If you add a static route manually with the same settings as the originaly dynamic link route, the router becomes available, pingable ...

[BUG REPORT] route

Hello! We have encountered a routing bug which is present in both 4.16 and 5.0 rc8. The hardware is RB 1000, and rb1100 (the bug is possibly platform independent) We could reproduce the bug in IPv6, althrew it may be present in IPv4, we didn't want to loose connection to the router, so we didn't tes...

Re: feature request - safer upgrade

yes i know, but as i writed problems are exists which could be solved with some more crc checking, and crc checking the upgraded system. if crc is not ok, then rewrite the system from the pre-crc checked update file.

feature request - safer upgrade

Hello All! it would be really great to have a safer upgrade method in my experience about 10% of the upgrades backfires. the last one was in an 5xx board. i have uploaded the image, rebooted, and about the half system was upgraded, the other half was lost and so the configuration for trose modules, ...
