From my experience minimum 40dB of separation is needed to ensure quality of dual link Some antennas doesn't have such separation, so they're not suited for this type of work. If separation is low (eg 39-41dB) you need to lower your TX power on TX interface, because crucial is signal on RX interface...

How tall are the buildings? If you had a steel cable and a mount point on each building (like power companies do) could you run that from building to building then run a cat5 cable across that?
In that case i strongly suggest Single Mode fiber - there won't be any problem with lightings

Nstreme Dual on 50meters should give you upto 75Mbps full duplex throughput.
If you want you can use two nstreme duals bonded should be about 130-140Mbps full duplex

25W is maximum, and this box is rather big, so there shouldn't be any problem regarding temperature.

Have you tried Celeron CPU? Is their performance on par with the P3? This depend on aplication, but 600MHz celeron mobile (without any cache) compared to 600MHz old pentium3 (with 256KB cache) should be little slower. Pentium3 is suitable to work _without_ fan if you won't threat procesor with 100% load, 1GHz has only ~25W! it should work, but better find commell ones with intel CPU, they're more powerfull, and often offers integrated DC-DC coverter.

yeah, but probably, you'll need to switch negotioation rate to 24Mbps (becasue signal on 20MHz is -3dB comparing to 10MHz)
That should give you about 17Mbps simplex
And of course setup nstreme /w polling enabled
framer-policy=exact-size & framer-limit=4000
that'll speedup connection to it's limit.

10MHz @ 54Mbits gives performance about 12-13Mbps half duplex (15Mbps with nsteme)
with 36Mbps mode performance is about 2 times worse = 7-8Mbps
You shouldn't be able to archieve more than that on these settings

i think that you can connect card with feed only 1-2meters cable in this case it will be enough if you use CNT/LMR-400, if you need longer cabling (cable-feed) you need to use lmr-600 but maximum reasonable length is not more than 5-6meters in this case
