Re: RouterOS v5.9 released

So how am I supposed to pass prefixes to other routers on my network? This is done by RADVD not by DHCPv6-PD. Mikrotik have found the problem and provided me with a test version of RouterOS, which I'm about to download. Will report back. Am I able to test out this version as well? Also an Internode...

Re: RouterOS v5.9 released

about IPv6 dhcp-pd... I don't have access to the server. DHCPv6 client just sits in searching mode. /interface pppoe-client add ac-name="" add-default-route=yes allow=pap,chap,mschap1,mschap2 dial-on-demand=no disabled=no \ interface=ether2 max-mru=1480 max-mtu=1480 mrru=disabled name=Internode pas...

Re: RouterOS v5.9 released

I'm having some issues with IPv6 over PPP. I put require IPv6 in the profile, PPP connects however DHCP client never joins. This is on Internode http://ipv6.internode.on.net/ . I'm yet to test with a non mtik router, because, well, that takes effort. Any sort of IPv6 DHCP logging I can enable to see...

Re: Cache Server - Plan and Design

Windows 2000 is over 10 years old now and support from Microsoft ended on July 13, 2010 (http://support.microsoft.com/ph/1131). I suggest you move to something like Windows Server 2008 or as you said Ubuntu. Don't forget Debian is also an option. Newer operating systems have a lot better hardware su...

Re: RouterOS v5.8 released

dhcpv6 client doesn't appear to work with pppoe-client interfaces, which is how my ISP (Internode) provides IPv6 addresses, and I'm not even sure if you guys support IPv6 on the PPPoE client yet.

http://ipv6.internode.on.net/access/adsl/

Having support for this would be epic.

Re: RouterBOARD SXT 5HnD

Is it possible to configure two of these up in a P2P fashion ? The license level says 3, so that means it wouldn't be able to be configured as a AP, right? It looks like it has the grunt to do it based on my spec sheet.

Re: v5rc7 released

You made a slight typo, you said:
Note 2: PPP support for IPV6 will be re-added in rc8
But what you should have said was:
Note 2: PPP support for IPV6 along with dhcp6c will be added in rc8

Winbox - Interface improvements

Is it possible to get an option that allows windows not contained inside the main winbox window. Eg, like the GIMP. http://www.ilovefreesoftware.com/26/windows/image-photo/download-gimp-free-replacement-for-adobe-photoshop.html I imagine you could access the menu by right clicking on the taskbar ico...

Re: RouterOS v5 beta 6

Lads, I'm having some issues OSPF flapping into exstart mode on the new Beta 6 on a RB750G, and just recently winbox / API / web interface has dropped out. I'm guessing I have to upload a support.rif file to support@mikrotik.com ? I haven't rebooted the box yet, and telnet works. This happened a few...

Re: Routerboard hanging (RB750G)

looks like it is physically hanging - on a wire :)

what exactly is wrong with it?
I've now fixed the issue by placing it back on the bench. It appears to have been knocked off by some form of feline.

Routerboard hanging (RB750G)

I bought it a few months ago from an Australian reseller, but has started hanging recently. Photo of LEDs shown below.
